Introduction: The mission of AM 4 Youth (Arts Motivation for Youth) is to improve the quality of life and education for youth by incorporating the arts into their daily lives, and to esteem and empower them to raise their levels of confidence, develop problem solving skills, imaginative thinking, group interaction, self-awareness, higher academic standards and social productivity. Moreover, the youth will learn to explore and express their unique styles of artistry in dance, theater, music, television and radio through innovative programming and art presentations, using the signature core services elements, experience, understand, create, connect, and adding the arts to the S.T.E.M. initiative (science, technology, engineering, and math). Operation theater is a workshop with Jonathan Thompson. In this workshop for Grades K–12, Jonathan will work with 25–30 students at a time, and collaborate with the teacher to provide age-appropriate programming to meet curriculum goals. Theater skills such as voice and diction, public speaking, improvisation, pantomime, and scene development are presented as life skills using his brand of Urban Shakespeare. Jonathan's great personal warmth and sensitive approach will help students tap into new strengths and resources, helping to build their self–esteem and confidence. This is an up to 60-minute workshop for Grades K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12. Assembly Programming Heritage Concert Series program is designed to create opportunities of shared and lasting experiences, to connect listeners to musical urban cultures, to each other, and to their own potentials. Audiences will experience the sound and style of an anthem, spiritual, hymn, gospel, and contemporary inspirational songs, along with their history, origins and stories. Music lovers will benefit from this program by being exposed to different musical styles, some known and not known to them, learning to understand some of the writers, composers, and their stories, lifestyles and meanings. Mr. Thompson holds his F.C.C. license and class training in disciplines of music theory, piano, saxophone, theater course training for teaching artist developed by the partners in education program of the John F. Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts. Customers love that students are very engaged, and that the program focuses on life skills, as well as higher education.
