FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I get weekly and monthly publications which I research, but also shop quality stores regularly to see what's out there. However, I'm not ashamed to call an expert, friends who know more than me, for their opinions. Any chance I get to help an expert in a field where I can learn more, I take it, if I'm not busy.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
With the attack on the United States in New York in September 11, 2001, business sharply decreased in the sales department. I had been repairing light fixtures and replacing ballasts, and decided to develop that area to balance out my income. I found out I took a knack to it and their was realistic demand for my services. My grandfather was a Master Electrician and I wanted to be like him. From there I expanded as a handyman, as I had fixed up several of my own homes, as well as a duplex for 30 years. I'm in great shape, athletic and found out this jobs made me even stronger.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common are electrical and lighting fixture repairs. But weekly I am painting, hanging fixtures/paintings properly, repairing vacuum cleaners or whatever, fixing toilets, sinks, outlets, doors, knobs, changing light bulbs, etc.
