Don and his wife were amazing! Exactly what I had envisioned. Quality work, they really love what they do. Such a sweet couple, too. We will definitely use Hoosier Handmade again! Call them now... they are in demand and it’s easy to see why. Worth waiting until they are available. Worked with my budget, and my shiplap looks amazing.

We have had difficulty finding contractors to work on some smaller jobs around our home that we think are beyond our skill set. For this specific project, we needed a new attic ladder installed in the garage. Not the most glamorous, lucrative, or exciting of jobs, but Hoosier Handmade was more than happy to work with us! And we could not be more pleased with our choice!
We received confirmation text updates on the day of estimate, a quick turnaround for price and scheduling, and lots of good communication throughout the process.
The quality of the work, professionalism, and outstanding communication skills are the reasons we wrote out a list of other projects and we will be working with Hoosier Handmade in the near future! Highly recommend!

Hoosier Handmade was EXCELLENT! They were responsive to my project posting, provided a general idea of cost to set expectations, visited my home to provide options and estimates to meet my needs, scheduled a time to complete the work, and arrived as promised to complete the project. While many of those items should be base expectations, from my experience with other home projects, unfortunately they are not base expectations for all companies. On top of the great experience and work completed, the folks at Hoosier Handmade are nice, courteous people I actually enjoyed having in my home. I would not hesitate to contact them for any future projects.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $85 per hour per worker plus materials. Some services we charge per square foot or linear foot. We also charge for drive time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up helping my Dad do everything from build his garage to rebuild my first vehicle. I learned a lot from him and then honed my skills the more I did on my own as I got older. God has given me many talents and I’m just working to put as many of them to good use as I can!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well, my wife and I completely gutted and rebuilt our home. We learned a lot about each other and a lot about ourselves and what we were capable of. I really enjoyed the work so we decided to make a go of it and started Hoosier Handmade!!
