I recently had my shower enclosure replaced and needed the glasswork done. Of the several contractors who indicated interest in taking the job, Bryce at Brant Glass was the one who demonstrated quickest response and enthusiasm for the work. Being anxious to get the project completed and have my working bathroom back, I did not wait more than a few days for the other companies to return my calls or emails-- Bryce got his foot in the door first and he got the gig.
I was a little worried that I had not vetted enough contractors and was taking my chances on the first estimate I received. But the price was within what I had budgeted and, much more than that, I liked the orderly, thoughtful approach that I saw when Bryce came in to do the estimate. He quickly noted several squaring flaws in the enclosure (these had been unavoidable, lest you think I'm ragging on the tile guys) and worked out how he would compensate for them both functionally and cosmetically. He discussed everything with me in detail. I got an itemized written estimate that evening and Bryce went into action, ordering glass and supplies, as soon as I gave the word. We scheduled for today.
So... Bryce and his coworker just left the house and I have this magnificent-looking shower with frameless glass. Because of those squaring flaws I mentioned, the job required a lot of extra care and took all day instead of the half-day expected. Even so, I was charged no more than the original estimate. Bryce and I reviewed all of the invisible and barely visible fit imperfections and how he compensated for them; I had only one adjustment request that he took care of immediately and when all's said and done the shower looks spectacular.
I'll be contacting Brant Glass again when it's time to have window glass replaced. They were a real pleasure to work with.
