FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will do my best to work with you on the prices. They are variable depending on job. I would first come to your home,, discuss options, and then make pricing from there.. For example, I have a client has a 3 bedroom two bath home. I only clean one bedroom, bath, living, and kitchen weekly for $50.00. She lives close so I dont have mileage, and she provides all cleaning supplies, vacuum, mops, etc. when she needs me to clean more we add $20.00 per room. There is usually a first time fee. I would rather you provide cleaning tools, and supplies. Most do not want the same vacuum that is used in other homes to be brought into theirs, and providing the cleaning supplies guarantees any problems with allergies. I will provide my own cleaning supplies under special circumstances, but it will increase price.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I moved back to Indiana, after living in Texas for 35 years. I decided I wanted to become self employed. I have a degree in Decorating, but most of my friends can't afford those prices. I also am a clean FREAK!! A friend of mine asked me to clean her house for a special occasion, and help her set up for a party. She was amazed, we started talking about my passion that I have never been able to tap into. She was the one that put the idea in my head to combine the two things I enjoy doing and make it a buisness. So that is what I am doing.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most have wanted me to come clean their house once a week. I have one client that just has me come everyother week.
