I have been training with Chitown trainers for several months. I attend the yoga classes and utilize the personal training service. The trainers are extremely professional and competent. The training has been the best training experience I have had because they work at your level and gradually build your tolerance and strength. I have experienced change in my ability to run, lift weight and my balance. I highly recommend their services, they are simply excellent!
I hired Mary to be a yoga instructor for my fitness retreat, and she was the perfect fit. She tailored the class for our needs (gentle yoga for sore muscles). I've done yoga for years with several different instructors, and I believe she is a wonderful teacher!
I have taken both private and group lessons with Tara. As a beginning yoga student it was important that I get the individual instruction so that I could get the attention that I needed to participate in group activities. Tara was incredibly patient and helped me both understand the postures and modify them so I was getting the most out of them. I suspect individual instruction with Tara would benefit anyone no matter what prior experience they may have had with yoga. Group classes have their benefits but if one needs to refine their techniques, learn new ones or, like me, is a beginner I would recommend individual lessons. Tara is passionate about yoga and an excellent teacher. A ideal person to study with.
Darrell masterfully created, lead, and managed a five week visioning power group that I participated in:) He was on point the entire time. I’ve been going to a chiropractor on and off over the years for lower back tightness. After a friend recommended me to see C. Alexandra I thought I would give it a try. She was very professional and thorough with explaining and demonstrating the poses I needed to do to help my lower back. I am new to yoga and she helped me so much with her hands on approach and demonstration. After just 1 session with her my lower back hadn’t felt this good in years. I can’t wait to go to one of her classes. I’m addicted to yoga now thanks to C. Alexandra
I attended a Chakra Balancing Workshop last week. The workshop was very well planned out and ran smoothly. Valerie is very knowledgeable and answered all questions quickly and without hesitation. There were handouts and we were able to follow along and take notes. We analyzed Chakras, which was quite interesting, and made a note of each Chakra's activity. We then did a yoga practice for balancing Chakras. Valerie has a very calming way while leading the practice. The practice flowed smoothly. When the practice was over, we had a short meditation. Then we analyzed Chakra's again to see how they differed from the first time. I really enjoyed this workshop and plan on attending future workshops. I highly recommend Valerie for her workshops and yoga classes.
If you want a fun, focused, and challenging experience all in one yoga class you should definitely go with BuddhiYoga! Kari is so patient and real and is a well of knowledge!! You will be do happy you met her :)
For being someone who was never into yoga initially, I found I develop strength and tone muscles through Michelle's yoga classes. They are a perfect balance of body resistance training in addition to stretching and relaxation. I am hooked!
Kim Winston is by far one of the best yoga instructors I have had in my six years of taking classes. She has a nice style of teaching and does her homework by making the classes unique. I leave Kim's classes with a feeling of being refreshed and having a calmness. Yoga is so much more than getting in shape....it touches the mind,body and soul. It gets you connected to your inner self. Kim has that ability as an instructor to accomplish just that!
CurvyChick Yoga is patient and flexible. She explains everything throughly and helps to give to just the right push in order to get you out of your comfort zone and to your next level. I highly recommend this business!
I was so impressed with Caitlin's ability to be calm and professional but also how fun she made everything! She has a nice balance of faster paced exercises like sun salutations to get your heart rate up and then strengthening poses leading into relaxation techniques. She really listened to my needs and concerns for certain sensitive parts of my body that I'm afraid to re-injure but also pushed me to go further than I thought I could. Her entire vibe made me feel comfortable immediately which is a rare quality to posess. I will definitely be taking more classes from her in the future! Namaste!
I've taken Kris' yoga classes at multiple locations and have always had outstanding experiences. Her classes start with an intention and reading that set the right tone for the entire class and a tie the mind/body/spirit aspects together. She offers very helpful assists, making sure that you get the most out of each pose, and is great for any level yogi-- from beginner to experienced. I would highly recommend her classes!
