Personable, patient, adaptable, talented, encouraging, energetic, and knowledgable are only some of the words that describe Gonzalo. At our first meeting he made me feel so comfortable it felt like I had known him for a long time. I have always wanted to take private dance lessons but I was always discouraged thinking it would be too expensive and hard to come by. That wasn't the case at all. Gonzalo responded to my request the same day and was able to work with my budget. He is always right on time and is very friendly with my family too. If you see Latin dance lessons in your near future, don't hesitate to call on Gonzalo. There is no way you'll be disappointed.
Uttara is so friendly and professional. My fiancé and I had great time working with her on our wedding dance. She is able to come up with choreography for the music that we selected. The choreography is beautiful and fit the music perfectly. Glad that we made the right choice!
The brilliance of Judicita as a wedding choreographer and dance teacher is best conveyed by my husband, Andrew: I am a man who is terrified of dancing. In six weeks, Judicita took my dancing from "baby giraffe immediately after birth" to, as our wedding guests commented, "surprisingly not terrible" and "actually kind of really impressive." I did not want to jump out of a window at any point in the teaching process. Judicita was professional, empathetic, and effective both as a teacher and a choreographer. I am extremely happy with the services she provided and would recommend her in a heartbeat. I proposed to a woman of Puerto Rican/Peruvian background. She lives to dance. I was informed, lovingly and with zero wiggle room, that our first dance at the wedding would involve me doing salsa. Growing up, the blackest nightmares I ever had involved me trying and failing to dancing in front of all of my friends and family. So, choking down the terror, my then-fiancée and I contracted with Judicita to teach us (i.e. me) a choreographed 3-4 minute salsa dance. Judicita is--and I cannot stress this enough--extremely good a teaching. She has all of the normal, fundamental dance instructor skills: she's a talented dancer herself, she's very good at motion analysis and mechanics, and she's able to define and adjust choreography on the fly. But where she truly excels is her raw ability to teach. Rather than the familiar and irritating "Do this. No, like this. Point your toe more. No, like THIS. Watch me AGAIN" style of fussy instruction you get at many salsa rooms, Judicita is genuinely and patiently focused on teaching you to move. "That was great!" says Judicita with what feels like genuine excitement. "If you hold your chin a little higher the spin will be tighter, but you've really got the basic motion down!". She continually explained the "why" behind the motions, and let us learn at our own pace without getting hung up on perfection. We learned exactly what we needed for our dance. More importantly, I didn't feel like I was going to throw up from stress during lessons. I could list out many other positives: her quick and precise decisions on choreography--always listening closely to what we liked and didn't like; her flexibility in dealing with our schedule; her constant positivity and professionalism. In the end, we successfully pulled of an amazing first dance that was exactly what my bride wanted. Was I actually a born dancer? An unpolished diamond in the rough whose amazing skills were simply waiting to be discovered? A modern-day Patrick Swayze, if you will? This is what I'll keep telling myself. But the truth is, the only reason I walked out onto the floor excited, confident, and prepared, instead of nauseous and terrified, is because Judicita guided me there every step of the way. She should be teaching movie stars and professional competition dancers, instead of awkward dudes hoping to impress their partners. But thank God she does.
Had loads of fun taking bachata lessons from Kat. She is a wonderful teacher. I kept her as a friend when I moved out of town, because she is also very nice and has a great sense of honor.
Great attitude and positive energy. Keeps sessions exciting!

I've been taking ballroom dance lessons from Phil for over a year now. His lessons are full of great dance instruction, homework suggestions to improve in areas such as form and flexibility, and a few good jokes and laughs! He is very professional but also makes dance a fun experience. I highly recommend beginners and experienced dancers alike to take lessons from him!
I am a trained dance professional for the last 18 years. I've trained with Dave Bugnosen, and now works with Tom Woll in the Montgomery Department of Recreation.
I will be able to travel, or customers are welcome in my home. I will be able to teach Bollywood and South Indian dance forms to children and adults in the beginner's level. Choreography for a particular song can also be done.

Mary Krause was wonderful!!! She conducted a Zumba session recently at our Health Fair and everyone had a great time--still getting compliments. I will definitely recommend--she had all ages (kids, teens, adults) doing Zumba. The lesson was performed so that everyone could participate. Thanks so much.
Raymond is one of the very best ballroom dancers in Maryland. My dance partner and I have been taking both private and group lessons from him, in 19 different types of dance, for almost 20 years. I study dance extensively, and find that he is able to answer my questions and point out where and what we need to do to improve. David Moore
I just recently began contemporary/modern/hip hop dance lessons with Brandy and I could not have asked for a better teacher! She is knowledgeable, paitient, and highly skilled. I would definitely recommend to everyone! I learned so much in just three weeks and will continue to learn so much as we move forward
I received both salsa and bachata lessons from Helena and every lesson was outstanding. Helena is very professional and extremely helpful. My dancing has dramatically improved thanks to Helena and I would definitely recommend her to everyone, from beginners who are interested in Latin dance to very advanced dancers looking to improve. Helena is the best teacher one could ask for.

All faculty has undergone rigorous teacher training and teach from consistent teaching curriculum.
I will travel as far as necessary, if expenses are paid and if it is to guest-teach, choreograph, or coach. I can teach on a regular basis in the DC area. I can work with figure skaters and ballroom dancers who wish to do lifts and other, more difficult elements, and/or wish to improve their ballet technique. I have been a guest teacher/choreographer for numerous ballet schools and coached figure skaters and ballroom exhibition dancers in ballet elements for competitions. I have coached at a "dance competition school" to ready the girls for their competition season. I also choreographed their ballet and lyrical routines. I can coach cheerleaders in correct form and technique. I would also be an asset to girls who wish to compete in beauty pageants. As a professional ballet dancer for 17 years, I have modeled (after retiring from ballet and while teaching ballet, yoga, and Pilates) doing "runway" in small, local trunk shows, so I can coach models who wish to gain more poise and elegance and master the "runway walk." I am currently teaching yoga and Pilates in several locations, so I can add these techniques instead of teaching ballet. I have worked with teens who need ballet/yoga/Pilates as a psychological therapy at a children's hospital. I have worked in a program through The Kennedy Center, teaching ballet as a "learning tool" in several DC public schools. In short, I enjoy, and I am excellent at teaching any level or age of student who wish to improve technically and/or artistically, has always wanted to dance ballet, and/or wants to use self-expression and a mastery of their body, as tool for gaining a better sense of peace of mind and improving their self-confidence.
