Debmit S. says, "Carlos and his team Jeferson, Felipe and Vinicius are just amazing. They have the right price with the right design and the right attitude. Was an absolute pleasure getting our patio done with them. Planning phase: Carlos was on time and came in provided the measurements and estimates. Went back and also helped us get the design and material pictures so that i could work with my HOA for approval. Concrete Construction: Carlos was in constant communication with me and once the approval was received he started working immediately got his team in and the guys did an excellent job in getting the stamp concrete done. Wall: Carlos and his team helped me choose wall materials and also provided haul assistance and then built an excellent wall over the stamped concrete. Extra mile: Carlos and his team was amazing and helped with everything that i brought to their attention from chip or cracks to paint and then fixed everything with precision. They even went extra mile of spreading grass seed that i had bought and thought of doing myself to the sod areas that were effected. Carlos and his company with his excellent team is highly recommended if someone is trying to build a stamped concrete patio. They are the best I have seen so far in the Lewis Center area."See more

“Sidewalk projects often require permits and adherence to local codes. A licensed concrete contractor generally knows these regulations and can help you meet them, avoiding potential fines or corrective costs. Make sure to ask about license information.“

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do you find the best concrete contractor?

To find the best concrete contractors in your area, start by comparing concrete contractor reviews and ratings, which can give you insight into the quality of work you can expect from potential concrete contractors. When reading reviews, pay attention to details about how long the project took and whether the customer had any disputes with the contractors. The reviews often contain photos of past work, but if you don’t see any reviews, ask the contractor to share photographs of concrete floors, driveways and other projects they’ve worked on. Look for details such as clean edges and a lack of cracking. And finally, if a concrete license is required in your state, ask to see the contractor’s credentials.

What's the difference between masonry and concrete contractors?

Masonry contractors build structures with smaller units like bricks and stones, binding them together with mortar to form a larger structure. Concrete contractors, on the other hand, only use concrete to form structures. This mixture of cement, water and other materials is poured into a premade structure and left to cure, forming a single structure made on one part.

Call a concrete contractor near you to replace or repair concrete floors. You can also find concrete masonry contractors in your area to help you with other projects.

What is the best sealer to use on concrete?

Because unsealed concrete is porous, it readily absorbs liquids, leading to unsightly stains and freeze-and-thaw cycle damage. For this reason, it’s important to seal concrete that will see spills or outdoor weather.

The best option for garage floors and other high-traffic areas is epoxy, which forms a hard and extremely durable surface on top of concrete. Epoxy, acrylic, and polishes are often used on indoor floors, while acrylic-resin sealers and reactive penetrating sealers are used on outdoor surfaces to repel water and salt. Locate a concrete contractor in your area to help find the best solution.

What can concrete contractors do?

Concrete contractors can build foundations, structures, driveways, concrete storm drains, raise or level concrete patios and much more. They can handle every step of the process, starting with framing the mold that the concrete is poured into. They then cut, assemble and tie together the rebar, giving the concrete its tensile strength. Finally, they pour the concrete in, mixing and conditioning it to ensure it cures properly. They will also take steps to ensure that no air pockets are trapped within it.
