Taking cello lessons can be a rewarding experience for students young and old. The rich sound of the cello is well-loved in classical music and is found in all genres of contemporary music from modern folk to rock. As with any instrument, how hard it is to learn to play cello depends on the practice and dedication you put into it. It’s true that some people are naturally more adept at learning instruments than others, but with lessons and a daily commitment, you too can learn to play the cello.

Cello lessons can be a smart investment, especially for new players. Even professional cellists benefit greatly from ongoing training, but for those new to cello it’s especially important for forming a strong foundation for playing. From the proper posture to understanding finger positions, regular cello lessons give you a benchmark to measure your daily practice against. With a professional cello teacher guiding you, the sky’s the limit.

Reviews for music teachers
Kangkang W.
I am an adult piano learner. I started learning basic piano techniques about 1 year and 3 months ago from some other teacher. After about 10 months learning, I started feeling frustrated and not progressing at all. I don't want to give up on piano and hence decided to look for another teacher for a second try. And that's when I found Cheryl, which proves to be a super great find. Cheryl has a really good training system/process for beginners. She had me focused on my finger techniques in my first couple of lessons and after that, I started playing some beautiful melodies together with the finger training. I could clearly see my progress through the time. She has a high standard on passing each song, so every time I completed one, I felt really happy about the outcome. And Cheryl's class is much more than just the techniques, but also the music understanding, the music theory or history behind each melody. I enjoy every class with Cheryl and always look forward to the next one. Cheryl used to teach professional music students back in China. I felt really lucky to have her as my piano teacher. She is a really great and professional teacher and a very nice person. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn piano, especially those who want to learn it seriously.
