This was a parent potluck and games night event. Edelina was great coming up with the games and executing them on the event night. Also, Edelina maintained great communication throughout the planning of the event and was happy to reschedule with us after the Blizzard of 2016 cancelled our original date. Our guests had a great and fun evening as a result of her ideas and understanding of this group. One guest stated "I have been to several of these parent potlucks, but hands down, this one was the best by far." Thanking Edelina and Event Details for a successful evening.
Dee was super responsive and professional. ‘Tam’, our party assistant, was amazing. She stayed on top of the food table to keep everything fresh, stayed in front of the cleanup, and was overall amazing. We definitely use them again for our parties. Aside: this was the first time we have ever hired extra hands to help with a house party and it was totally - TOTALLY - worth it. Babysitter downstairs with the kids, and Tam upstairs helping keep things fresh and clean.
Thelma came to our senior pastor's retirement party and did face painting for two hours, near the children's games on the church lawn. She was within a few minutes of being on time, no big deal, and she was very pleasant and easy to work with. She has a cheerful demeanor and is very good with little kids. I was amazed at the constant business - but I shouldn't have been, because she does beautiful work, so I'm sure word spread quickly! She was totally self-sufficient; she has her own stool for the kids and works standing up. She was flexible on where to set up and had no needs at all. I can't think of a thing she could have done better or how we could have been more satisfied. If we ever need a face painter again, she will be my immediate choice, and I would highly recommend her to anyone else!
We Plan - You Party helped me figure out a work-related party. The request was for help to come up with three different parties at different price levels. They totally understood what I wanted and delivered. We went with one of their party designs and had an excellent event. Plus, they are very nice and have a personal, caring touch. I recommend them and would use them again for work or play! Great job!
Jacqueline was absolutely wonderful! I hired her to help me with the last few weeks of my wedding planning. Not only did she serve as a POC for the vendors a few weeks before the wedding so my husband and I didn’t have to worry about anything, but she did day-of management of the event. There were several times during the wedding ceremony and reception when she jumped into action. For example, she alerted the DJ when he played the wrong song for the groom and sister dance, and walked him through the Mr. and Mrs. Game. She also provided guidance during our dress rehearsal to make sure the ceremony would be just as we wanted. Jacqueline is super professional, extremely friendly, and a great listener! I would recommend her to anyone for wedding planning or any other event.
This was my first time hiring a party planner for my son who is 7. Ms keisha was very sweet and understanding and patient and my sons party turned out fabulous and Affinity One events really made his party magical....and the decor was very creative and just what I wanted and very reasonable my son was sooooo siked when he seen his Superman theme and all the games but his favorite was the cool custom made CANDY BAR (a table full of delicious candy) I will definitely hire Affinity One Events again for my next party....
We faced the challenge of planning a wedding/reception in Washington DC, while living in Atlanta. Andrew became our hands and eyes in the Washington DC area. He visited the venue, provided video and photos of the interior. He produced floor plans and designed the decor. He meet with our other vendors and coordinated the agenda. He provided input and recommendations on numerous topics including transportation, parking, supplies and rentals. On the day of the weeding he managed all aspects of the event; insuring a stress free day for us. The result was a day that exceeded our expectations and memories that will last a lifetime.
Simplh Panache organized and decorated my son's christening party. From inception to closing, Lisa was professional creative knowledgeable and kind. She and her team went above and far above anything I can dream of. My guests and I were blown away with how she transferred a drab room into an awesome and blessed event. She even gave ideas to play different unique and fun games during dinner which my guests are still talking about. I am ever gratefuI for what she's done. Thanks to Lisa I will never forget how wonderful that day was!
I first had the pleasure to work with Mommy a la Carte during my surprise baby shower. Tamika planned engaging games for us to play along with every detail of the celebration from securing the venue to the catering. When it was time for my son to arrive, Mommy a la Carte helped me plan the design of my son's nursery and to consider some of the details I wasn't even thinking about! My son's room turned out great and was functional for sleeping, changing, and those late night feedings. Mommy a la Carter helped me with the planning of my son's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd birthday parties. Tamika worked with me to flesh out ideas and think about the most creative solutions. All three birthday parties for my son turned out great! Tamika was very easy to work with was patient with me as I asked questions and she provided very thorough responses. I was impressed with her creativity and ability to 'think outside of the box.' I look forward to continuing to work with Mommy a la Carte in the future as my son gets older.
I would whole heartedly recommend having Michelle Farmer plan your party or event. Prior to using her services I had the pleasure of attending a bachelorette party, wedding shower, and baby shower planned and organized by her. Each had a wonderful theme that was tasteful, with unique and hand crafted touches that served as keepsakes for the guest and honoree. You could tell she had developed a rapport with the client, catering staff, and venue staff. The events felt relaxed and fun, but at the same time in retrospect you could tell there was no awkward moments as things naturally progressed from games, gift openings, eating and chatting, all while she worked unobtrusively to see to the needs of the hostess and guests. As an Executive Assistant and Meeting Planner, I admired her tact, poise, and welcoming demeanor at each event. The hostesses have all sung her praise and it prompted me to use her for an event of my own. She worked tirelessly and delivered a flawless evening for myself and my friends. She graciously assisted in the development of a theme that fit my tastes and gave valuable input on how it could be tailored to me personally. Her work with the menu took into account varied tastes and budget along with the theme. She also provided hand crafted items to compliment the décor that set the evening apart and were practically Martha. Definitely use her services if you are able to set you apart from the other rounds of dinner parties and showers.
When I went looking for someone to help out at our Christmas party, I didn't even know someone could be as intuitive, self motivated, and good natured as Salam was the whole evening. She made the evening AWESOME, explaining games to guests and welcoming my friends and colleagues and allowing me to actually enjoy myself while hosting. Five stars all day!
This experience was more than I ever expected. Everyone complimented on how beautiful it looked and how they felt like they were in the jungle when they walked outside ( it was a jungle theme). The games were so much fun. After having Me Soiree plan this baby shower, I will never plan a party myself again. Everyone should have the experience of having their next function planned by Me Soiree.
I hired Stephanie to help me plan my parents' 30th wedding anniversary. To be honest, I've never hired an event planner so I don't really have a comparison. I also don't plan events (at least not big ones). Since I wanted to make sure this event was perfect, I decided to hire someone who knew what they were doing. From the start, Stephanie was professional, courteous, and informative. Before coming up with a plan, she listened intently as I described my parents and what I thought would make this anniversary party perfect for them. She asked a lot of questions and I felt like she really got a good idea of what I was looking for before starting to share some suggestions. She had a lot of great ideas right off the bat and brought up aspects of the party that I had not even considered. In the run up to the party, Stephanie stayed in close contact and was always available to chat or answer my questions. That was probably one of the best parts of working with Stephanie - the communication. On the day of the party, I thought I'd be running around like crazy and worrying about all of the details. Luckily, I didn't have to do that! Stephanie handled the logistics of vendors and made sure everything was going as planned. She even dealt really well with my family, who can be a little overwhelming at times. Overall, the party was amazing and my parents were overjoyed - not just because so many of their loved ones showed up, but because the whole party really captured their personality and love. It was really amazing. Stephanie is a creative planner who is organized and stays on top of things. I'm not sure if I'll be throwing any other parties in the future, but if I do, I know exactly who I'll be calling!
All of the above. It could have not been any better; from staying on top of her game the 1st day to confiscating the groom's phone to avoid him being pressured and bombarded with phone calls on the wedding day....this is professionalim.
Therese has planned for, designed and executed three events for me: two baby showers and a first birthday party for my first born. I have also witnessed other events that she has done. A few things to know about my favorite event planner and designer: 1. She is amazingly creative. 2. She can work with any budget. That girl is a thrifter! 3. She can plan a super cute, well put together event in very little time. 4. She gets excited about the event as if it was her own. 5. Her vision is 20/20 for style, and how elements of a party comes together. 6. Did I mention her great taste? 7. She has the ability to surpass ones expectations after she takes ideas and makes them a grand reality. 8. Unique elements that leave guests impressed. 9. In addition to the decor, she considers the flow of the party and plans for games. Details including the game print outs and party programs are designed to match the theme! Even children under the age of 10 remember the first birthday and often tell me how much fun they had. 10. In short, lol, you have come to a great place for an event planner :)
Melissa Jakes hosted my baby shower for me. It was better then I could have ever imagined. She asked me questions about things that I liked and she ran with it. It was a baby animal theme. So everything from the tastefully done decorations, to the food, to the games followed the theme. She truly transformed the room. EVERYONE had a blast! She kept the party flowing nicely. I loved every aspect of my shower and definitely felt extra special to have had so much attention and effort given to me!
Terica was suppose to be the "Day Of" Wedding Coordinator my recent wedding, but she ended up going above and beyond just the one day. She meet with us numerous times to understand our vision. She accepted what we wanted and didn't want. She offered great suggestions and clued us in about all the wedding traditions. She was willing to drive quite far to both sites and even helped with the rehearsal. The day of the wedding, her team helped decorate and direct the ceremony. And Terica was there to set-up the whole reception and be the contact with vendors. I never heard of one thing going wrong. When we arrived at the reception, it was amazing to see our dreams come true and you could tell what hard work was put in to it. During the wedding, she was very supportive and available to help when I needed my dress pinned up. It takes a special person willing to take on a panicked bride! I couldn't have asked for more with Terica and her team. We all had a great time and I would definitely call Terica again for any parties. A coordinator is a must-have to keep on schedule, relieve stress, and take burdens off family members!
Simply Divine planned my surprise bridal shower. The event was perfect. Simply Divine thought of every detail--perfect venue, delicious food, beautiful decorations, and fun games. They even saved an invitation for me as a keepsake. Such a special and memorable event!!
Suzanne accommodated my request for same-day assistance to attend an evening wedding. Not only did she provide full coverage for my facial imperfections, she gave me recommendations for improving. 6 ladies, including the bride, praised her work (especially the eyelashes)! I am grateful that she helped me look nice in the photos and videos that were taken. I would both recommend and use her services again.
Absolutely the best dog boarder ever! I felt like my pup was on vacation the whole time. Jennifer was amazing and would send me pictures and videos of my dog every day! I don't think azland wanted to leave :) highly reccomendation Jennifer over any other pet boarder!
Intheevent has stepped in to help the church I serve develop two events that reach out to the greater community. One is our summer picnic and carnival event that is open to the neighborhood. She planned all the signups and activities which were focused more on young children - moon bounce, cake walk, games of tossing a bean bag, cotton candy, face painting. It all came together perfectly and she knows where to find the resources at a reasonable cost but with quality products. She also helped us develop a new outreach project that including a booth design for a community Fall Festival, ordering balloons with our logo and web on them, pinwheels for the younger children and water bottles to hand out with our labels attached. She also facilitated the sign ups for the volunteers and before we knew it all time slots were filled. Our governing committee would indicate that both these events were a success.
