Introduction: Curtis McClinton worked in Kansas City after his sports career and having the distinction in the first Super Bowl of catching the first touchdown. He is excited about sharing the story of his acquired knowledge and experience and living past his prime. He has been a husband, professional athlete, father, public servant, civic leader, volunteer, an American veteran and active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. With his own efforts, he supported Kansas City's revitalization, including working during the late 1960s to make the streets safe during the riots. Later, he worked with NFL Hall of Fame player, Jim Brown, to serve as the Black Economic Union's national president. It was later that he became Kansas City Black Economic Union's founder and president. Realizing that he appreciated and liked public service, Curtis went to Washington, DC and served as the Economic Development Administration's (EDA) deputy director in The Department of Commerce. Curtis was also a deputy mayor for Economic Development of Washington, D. C.
