I had a framing job done by Steve. I talked to him over the phone and he seemed to be more knowledgeable compared to others. He also was ready to meet and start the job. He showed up on time the next day and finish the project in a few hours as he promised. He didn't take the shortcut and paid attention while doing a clean job. I'd call him back for my next project.
Ran 4 Ethernet cables from my upstairs office into the basement. Installation was quick and everything looks great.
Jose and his team did a great job. He was flexible with when I needed the work done and sheet rocked my entire basement very quickly and with great quality. Clean up was quick and done well also. The reviews that he has had speak for themselves and is why I chose Jose to hang the sheetrock in my basement. Job well done!
Vern was great and really paid attention to the details. He connected sink, garbage disposal, installed dishwasher, installed oven/stove, installed microwave, fixed door framing, fixed electrical outlets, and more for a new kitchen remodel
small closet built in basement. work done in a timely manner and at a fare price. he cleaned up after work and was very polite. my wife is very happy and she is hard to please.
Richard is the best contractor we have ever worked with. He was affordable, always on time, met his timeline, extremely kind and cordial, and most importantly, he built us a beautiful fence. I would highly recommend Richard to anyone looking to have a fence built.
I has Roy and Jason finished my basement as to drywall walls and ceiling, installing a new door and window. They did great! Extremely reliable, reasonable, with timely communications on updates and prices. Roy also offered several options and outcomes together with his opinion. Would definitely use their services again!
Dustin and his crew were professional, on-time, and even worked with me on the budget of the project. I could not be happier with their work and the overall experience. 1200 sq. ft patio and walkway Dustin and crew helped with forms and rebar before pour and managed entire pour from beginning to end. Crew was tidy and used their own tools. Dustin was relentless to his guys to clean as they worked, paying special attention to my property. Cleaned up after pour and scheduled expansion joint cuts and removal of excess/left over concrete Applied sealant before leaving After working with so many sub-par and dishonest contractors in the past, I couldn't be more pleased to recommend Dustin and his crew as highly as possible. Hyrum Prince Happy and unusually content customer
Hired Shay to install new kitchen backsplash and repair some drywall in a bathroom. He and his partner did a great job - showed up when they said they would and completed in a reasonable amount of time. We are really happy with how both projects turned out.
Marthin hung and mudded sheetrock in my kitchen. He was prompt, tidy, and easy to work with. My house is over 100 years old with tons of quirks, but he took this into consideration and did a real clean job. I would for sure hire again and would be happy to give a reference.
Pehl Carpentry reinforced my basement stairs. Josh added a center riser and installed a couple of reinforcing braces as well. The job was well done and the stairs can hold anything now. No more squeaks or any give to the stairs! Price was reasonable and the job was done exceptionally well and fast. Josh was friendly and thorough and I really appreciate the value of his work.
We are two projects in to using Mark for various renovation projects and have been very pleased with the work thus far. As much as we try to DIY there are portions of some projects we simply don't have the equipment or experience to tackle, Mark is a perfect match to supplement what I'm able to do. He and his crew are able to do as much or as little work as you request. We've used him for framing, sheetrock and drywall so far and plan to use him for many future projects around our home. My only reasoning for being 4 stars is sometimes the communication or agreement on work to be done could be better but that's being nit-picky. Honest, quality and affordable work is difficult to find all-in-one; we've found that with Benchmark and won't ever hesitate to give him a proper recommendation.
I have called on this company several times and have always been satisfied along with my clients. They responded in a very timely manner and could take on all of the different projects my clients needed done under one roof for an easy and smooth transaction for me and my clients. Means alot when everyone is so busy these days to not have a hassel of meeting different contractors with inconvient time frames. One phone call to a one stop professional company. Resonable pricing and licensed and insured too. Call them first. You won't be disappointed.
Matt was great, extremely reasonable and reliable. I'm a woman who can't make up my mind and I changed the layout of our can lights multiple times, along with a couple of other last mjnute changes. Matt was completely understanding and didn't make me feel like I was being a burden at all. He took care of everything from painting, plumbing, electrical, dry wall, and he even tore down a wall and put in a support header for us! Jim that worked for him was extremely knowledgable and helpful as well.
After our basement was flooded Frank Pieraldi came to our rescue. Floors are beautifully tiled, walls are repaired and painted, including replacing a better looking baseboard. Three new doors were installed as well as new ceiling fixtures so that our basement is better now than before the flood. You can count on Frank Pieraldi to be dependable, skilled, friendly and all at reasonable cost.
Chris is a great contractor. We met numerous times to make sure everything was right from start to finish. The end result is beyond our expectations. Fantastic communication and will be called on again for future projects.
I am extremely impressed with Holderman Construction. I recently hired this company for a project that involved several components, both indoor and exterior components, and I was completely satisifed with the results of every single component. I’ll go into the details in a minute, but among the highlights of working with this company were the excellent communication and feedback, the punctuality, great professionalism, and above all, the incredible attention to detail and high work quality, along with an excellent value - these guys put a lot of labor into my project at more than a fair price. And they were extremely easy to work with. My project lasted 4 days and they were great to interact with every single day, and did quality work every day. They were polite, friendly, and clean. They even removed their shoes, and did an outstanding job with post-project cleanup. The main interior project was bathroom remodeling of cabinets. We had attempted previously to have someone use color stain to re-stain our cabinets and trim, and we just never liked the results. So this project was starting to add up in cost, with a readily we didn’t really like. Ray (the primary/owner) and Aaron (one of his main partners) did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom cabinets. They fully sanded all the drawers and doors down so that the previous and original stains/polyurethane were completely removed before applying the color stain again. That was a critical component, because in the end, the color stain ended up looking terrific - even better than I’d hoped it would look. My expectation of how they should look when completed came from the swatches of the particular color I selected (rustic grey) for the color stain I’d purchased. We realized that the previous application of that same stain, we weren’t really seeing the wood come through the stain, but instead the previous (original) stain, becuase it hadn’t been fully removed. In the end, the cabinets and trim looked BETTER than that expectation! Ray and Aaron really hit it out of the park on this one. And when they were done with the sanding and staining, they cleaned up really well from the dust and there was very little lingering chemical smell from the stain. Awesome! I also had them fix some lingering plumbing problems that had frustrated me because a previous contractor was not able to resolve them. Not Holderman Construction - fixed them both for good. The remaining components of my project were wood rot repair and storm door installation. I really loved what they did with both of these tasks. Seems straightforward but there is the materials aspect - which product, wood or vinyl, etc. There was an odd complexity to the back door wood rot that introduced a potential obstacle but Ray and Aaron were able to find a solution and overcome it by finding the right type of wood at the right thickness (original builder apparently chose an unorthodox door and window frame thickness for SOME but not all of my windows and doors). They repaired the wood rot and painted over it and it looks great and is of course no longer rotted. But the real bonus for me was that in the process, Ray managed to correct an incredibly vexing problem with the main back door in front of the storm door - it was not level, and leaking a TON, and I mean a TON of air through the bottom and the sides. I didn’t go into the storm door installation with any expectation of improving the air flow issue for that door, but that’s what I ended up with. An almost complete remediation of that problem. I am absolutely thrilled with the back door now. It closes properly, it’s level, and virtually no air coming in! That’s only been bothering us for 15 years now. On top of that, several other contractors tried, but ultimately failed, to resolve that issue with the door. And come to think of it, at least one if not two previous contractors told me they’d fixed wood rot issues that they really did not fix. Well, they’re fixed now, becuase Holderman Construction fixed them CORRECTLY. Ray is highly attentive to detail, does quality work, at a more than fair price. You can tell he knows what he’s doing. And I can say the same for Aaron, his partner. I really enjoyed working with them, and not only would I hire Holderman Construction again, but I’m sure right now that I WILL hire them again for other projects I have waiting. I highly recommend them.
His attention to detail is superior with all the contractors I have worked with in the past. He cares about the customer's preferences and manages his crews equitably. I highly recommend this company. They did a fantastic job for me.
I am a Landlord with a portfolio of properties in the SE KC Metro area. I have worked with Honey Dues Handy services on several smaller handyman oriented projects after meeting him here on Thumbtack. We got to know each other and my general needs and Joe went out on a Sunday (first day we talked) to install a garbage disposal. Joe assessed the issue, went to the store to purchase parts, and returned and installed the garbage disposal and also corrected an issue where the dishwasher drain hose was improperly installed. Joe kept me informed and even sent pictures with markups given that I wasn't on site. The transaction involved a high degree of trust given that he was working on one of my rental units and I hadn't met him in person at that point. Joe more than met my expectations. From there I went on to work with Joe on several other projects which I was highly satisfied with including a garage door repair, thermostat install, underground gutter drainage assembly, etc. It was a blessing to have met Joe and I consider him to be part of the team. I would highly recommend him to anyone as his knowledge, service value, and work quality are exceptional in my opinion. I look forward to continuing to work with him with great success.
We had them paint rooms, repair beams in our basement and install new supports/piers. Install doors and door knobs on all our new interior doors. They went above and beyond. Very professional and meticulous and they even stayed late into the evening hours to get the job finished as promised. Highly recommended!!!!
Hang drywall and finish. Paint exposed celling in basement. Great work, fast and professional. Fair pricing. Open line of communication.
