FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most of our services, we charge a flat rate of $100 for an intake session (excluding packing, unpacking, discard and donate, and automobile organization), then $75 per hour for on-site work. Learn more about our pricing on the "rates" section of our website!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first step is always to answer any questions that a client might have. Then, we schedule an intake session (excluding packing, unpacking, discard and donate, and automobile organization). During the intake session, we take a look at the space you are needing organized. We chat with you to learn about your goals, how you want to use the space, and what your biggest frustrations and hangups are. Then, we work with you to start building a customized plan for organization. We schedule a time for hands-on work, and then we come back to sort, organize, and transform your space. Clients can work alongside us, or they can leave and go to the spa while we work -- whatever they prefer. Then, after our work is complete, the client will receive an invoice in their email, and we will follow up to see how we did and if we can help them in any other way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When company owner and founder Amber Taggard was working on her Master in Science of Clinical Mental Health, she came across a statistic put out by UCLA that the average American spends 17 minutes per day looking for lost items. That statistic inspired Amber to become a Professional Organizer, and she worked with her first client in 2011. At the heart of The Organizer Chicks' philosophy is a desire to improve people's mental health and wellbeing through alleviating the anxiety that comes with disorganization. Clare Warrington, the Director of Operations for the KC location of The Organizer Chicks, holds a bachelor's in Family and Human Services, which equips her to work with people in personal settings with the highest regard for empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
