I would highly recommend Bob to anyone who is looking to find a personal trainer. I have had several personal trainers and Bob has been the best. He knows how to give you a great workout and pushes you to excel but nothing you can't handle. Bob has a wonderful approach when working with his clients. He not only includes the physical part but the whole body. Bob makes sure you are doing well in other areas of your life like emotionally and mentally. He knows if you are struggling in other areas of your life it can affect your workouts and nutrition. I have anxiety and Bob is always there to talk it out with me during my warmup if I need. I also struggle with emotional eating and Bob has never made me feel shame for that. We count the tiny wins/choices I make and just keep trying to improve each day. Whether you have had a personal trainer before or if this is your first time, Bob will be there to help and support you. He will personalize your workouts and nutrition to your needs. I highly recommend Bob as a personal trainer!!Jan 3, 2020Verified
Bob is highly qualified to be a personal trainer. He's professional, genuinely eager to help you, responsive in every respect and he provided good value. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to get better with their healthy diet and exercise, and doing so from a pretty low bar since I haven't done much. My needs are to improve flexibility and muscle tone and Bob's done a really good job of targeting these and providing me with a foundation of exercise that can be built upon. I'm very pleased. He even provided me with a video he made of my exercises that he shared via text message so I could work on them in between sessions to make sure I get it right. Most helpful.Aug 19, 2019Verified
“Bob is never late and is always well prepared with workouts that fit my personal needs at the time. He has a practical knowledge base acquired through years of training but he also stays actively involved in taking classes to further his education. He is well read in fitness literature and gives evidence-based data to back up questions about fitness. Because of his enthusiasm and knowledge about this subject, I am more committed and consistent in my attendance and performance. Bob is a natural leader both one-on-one or in a group, which he demonstrates by leading young wrestlers as a coach. I highly recommend Bob for anything that has to do with fitness.” Mary S., registered nurseDec 29, 2017
I began training with Bob Vaughan in September 2011. Bob is a professional who is well-prepared and varies the workouts in order to challenge me and help me progress. He's attentive during sessions, suggesting changes in order to correct my form or technique. The guidance he's provided has motivated me to make changes in my workouts and nutrition. My energy level and self confidence have benefited tremendously. I have gone from someone who went to the gym regularly but never pushed myself to someone who is happy to leave a session knowing I've given it my all. I view my sessions with Bob as an investment in myself. I highly recommend Bob to anyone who is interested in finding a personal trainer.Dec 30, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I don’t sell packages. Before we start, we will look at a calendar together to see how many times you want to meet for the following month. This works best for you and your schedule, not mine. You decide how many sessions you want for the month and then we add it up.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was in college and I received a phone call that my dad had a heart attack and needed open heart surgery. I had a 4 hour drive home until I could be by his side. During the drive I had plenty of time to think about my family's history. It was littered with disease. Heart disease, diabetes, COPD, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, and the list can go on. I was personal in great shape at the time. I was a college wrestler and I did not want to just except that one day I will go through this myself. On that drive I decided to dig into health and wellness. I decided not to accept that this is just my fate. I decided to declare my major in Health and Human Performance. Since 2004 I have been teaching people what I learned. Showing them that they do have a say in how things turn out.
