- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on the job and after verifying availability, we will often schedule a meet and greet to make sure that both parties agree that we are a good fit for one another as well as go over expectations.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started dog walking and sitting when I was about 14 in my neighborhood in Merriam. There was an older lady whose beagle mix had gotten obese and the vet recommended walking her. Her own health made walking difficult so she hired me to help. I loved it, so I’ve continued on and off throughout my life.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have really loved working with Piper the black lab mix. I will dog sit overnight for her while her family is away on vacations. I love to take her to the dog park and watch her run letting all her energy out. My favorite thing is when she gets down to the lake and lets out her « inner lab », bounding down and diving straight in. To her chagrin, this activity means that she will also get a bath.
