FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I subscribe to Handyman and Wood Magazine which often have articles germain to the painting trade. Walking through the paint department of a store can be very informative as well.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
On the exterior of a home, we often find wood rot that needs to be fixed. This can be anything from window trim, siding, and crown molding. Then we scrape, prime, caulk, and then paint. On the interior cracks, dents, and dings need to be fixed, and if desired, the imperfections from earlier drywall installation. Painting follows. Woodwork must be sanded, cleaned, caulked and then enameled. Oil base enamel endures the test of time the best.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently painted a five room house with one bath. After it was done the homeowner decided to have the cabinets done also. It turned out real nice. I refinished an exterior door that the home owner thought needed to be replaced. I told him I could restore it 90%. They were thrilled with the result and the savings.
