DId several different projects. Rebuilt window sills and changed locks on doors. Still in works, lay a kitchen floor. Was very satisfied.

I hired OB to replace flooring in my kitchen. He removed existing laminate, cleaned sub-floor, prepped floor, and then laid about 180 square feet of vinyl in just over two days! These days were Sunday/Monday over a holiday! I could not have asked for quicker or more fairly priced service! I felt completely comfortable giving OB access to a key to come and go when I was not home. The floor turned out beautifully!! He moved and reinstalled all appliances with skill and ease! He took extra care not to damage walls or flooring in other rooms and to clean up after he was done. I am preparing this house to sell and have a few more "handy man" jobs that need done. I will ABSOLUTELY be using OB again for these other jobs when the time comes. I love using Thumbtack and supporting small/independent businesses. This is the third job I've contracted via Thumbtack and I have NEVER been disappointed. If you need someone with a wide variety of skills, is available at a moments notice, and is more than fair on pricing I highly recommend giving Oribet Phelps a chance to prove his value, I am confident you will not be disappointed!

OB did a great job installing kitchen cabinet pulls. He was quick and cleanly, and a pleasure to have! I would definitely recommend him for odd jobs around the house.

OB did everything he promised and more. He was alert to possible needs that I did not initially notice and addressed certain problems we had with creative, cost effective solutions that demonstrated a high level of concern for my needs as a client. He demonstrates honesty and attention to detail that would be hard to match. I recommend him highly and plan to hire him in the future
Details: I need help with a variety of projects, approximately 2-5 hours of work • Repairs • Installation • Assembly • Living room • Basement • Garage • Appliances • Electrical • Hanging pictures or mirrors • Residential • I'm ready to hire the right handyman based on price & fit

MR. Phelps came to my house and spent about 15 minutes looking at what I needed done. He verbally estimated $75 for the job and we agreed he would do the work the next day. Since we did not have anything in writing he could not get a hold of me to tell me he would not be there at 10:30 a.m. as agreed. We he did find my number he called at 1:50 and said he would be there soon. He finally showed at 4:00.
He did the job and decided to return the next day to put finishing touches and clean up. He was on time this time.
I was not able to be home by the time he finished and my wife paid him. He charged $100 for the work, which was satisfactory and he did do more than we had discussed. However, he also charged a $50.00 "consultation fee" for the approximately 15 minutes he spent looking at what needed to be done. For this reason I cannot give him the 5 star rating requested and I will find someone else if I decide to do the other bathroom.
I also spent approximately 45 minutes doing additional cleanup of dried grout and caulk on the tiles walls around the tub.
