If I could give an extra star, I would. Found Carlo through Thumbtack. He had good ratings. We made arrangements for the inspection. I liked that he was willing to spend 4 to 5 hours on a thorough inspection. Carlo was on time. Very professional. He covered everything. And, I mean every detail. He took pictures. He made constant notes. No shortcuts. As it turned out, the job required 8.5 hours for completion. Carlo didn't skimp on anything. He gives great advice. At the end, he would not charge more than he quoted even though the job took twice as long. I added some to the payment anyway because he deserved it. Then, Carlo promptly followed up with the inspection report. If you can get Carlo, don't even bother looking at other inspectors.

Carlo did a great Job with our new home inspection. He was very thorough and informative with and about his findings. We are from out of state and first time home buyers and Carlo went above and beyond to help ensure we were understanding of what was going on. He was also very flexible in working with a representative we had to do the walk through. Our realtor was very impressed with his report and the manner in which he worded the report. He set proper expectations on which of his findings should be major concerns and which ones we could handle. I would definitely recommend Carlo and Talon Home Inspections to friends and family. You won't be sorry if you go with Talon.

Carlo Barone is a very sweet and intelligent man. He took his time going over every single detail in the home that we're considering buying. He was super conscientious about cleaning his feet if he went outside and turning off the lights throughout the house. I appreciated the care and the time he took to be so thorough. I'd HIGHLY recommend Carlo - he was very affordable and very knowledgeable! He caught several items that I never would have thought to look for before - but will never miss again when I look at houses!

Not being able to be present during the inspection and having my young daughter there to do the inspection I appreciated so much how detailed he was. We felt we were making the right decision on the inspection contingency after reading the report and going over the details. I would use no one else but Carlos in any future transaction.

    Each year I attend both the Kentucky Real Estate Inspectors Association (KREIA) conferences and The National Association of Home Inspectors Conference. (3 conferences)

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    They must be Kentucky Licensed and be affiliated with various Home Inspector Associations.
