FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is contingent on what you are wanting done, how many people, and travel. My pricing is different from most makeup artists who charge anywhere from $80-$200 for the initial application and then they tack on additional pricing for the trial run, staying for touch ups, etc. I give a set price that's all inclusive. The only additional price I ever add is if there's traveling involved.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always wanted to do hair since I was a teenager. I decided a few years ago to get into cosmetology school and realized my main passion was makeup. I somehow got into doing fashion shows at first and then photo shoots. I thought fashion was where I was going with this but the Kentucky fashion industry isn't the same as where I grew up in California, even if the talent is there. I started getting hired for other things like weddings and proms and decided I liked that so much more.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do makeup application of all types, except for special effects. I also offer hair styling either by me or I bring a hairstylist I work closely with. The most common jobs I do are bridal or formal. Although I have done quite a bit of fashion.
