FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I do when I have time. I compete in climbing competitions and have consistently placed in the top ten in the nation. Otherwise I read up on things online.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I kinda fell into it. I had just moved to Lexington with my family and my Step Dad knew someone who owned a tree service. He got me a job splitting wood on their lot. From there I joined a ground crew. I saw very quickly that the climbers ran the show and made the money. I climbed my first tree and was hooked immediately. It came so natural for me. I was good at it. Been doing it ever since
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Preventative maintenance. Trimming their trees so they don't get as damaged when storms and high winds come through. If you don't thin the tree put it acts as a sail when the wind blows. The leaves catch the wind and limbs or the tree itself will blow down on the house or property. Trimming them allows for the wind to blow through reducing the chances.
