FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take continuing education when possible, not just to maintain my license but going beyond the requirements when possible because I love it so much. There is so much to learn and so many modalities in which I am interested. I study deep tissue, trigger points, prenatal massage and yoga, Myofascial release, aromatherapy, ethics (with various specific topics), Thai-Yoga massage and yoga. I hope to continue studying in these specifications as well as an upcoming program in massage for cancer survivors well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always valued healthy, loving, healing touch for its profound sustaining capabilities. I was always the "shoulder/foot rubber" in my family and after working with injuries of my own and receiving the benefits of massage, I was undeniably drawn to helping others in the same way.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I most frequently employ Swedish, Deep Tissue and integrative massage and have clients who regularly receive Thai-yoga massage on the mat.
