Started strong but buyer beware. We had major remodel work done and while some of it is beautiful, our overall experience was troubling. In the end, I cannot recommend The Home Doctor for large jobs. Although the team offered to 'fix' their mistakes, their fixes did not end up truly addressing the issues we faced with damaged hardwood floors, incomplete work, scratched door molding, stained hardwood, paint on woodwork, leaking plumbing, a ruined vanity, over spray in painted cabinets, etc ... I'm not sure if they were taking too many jobs, but attention to detail waned as our job progressed and it was very noticeable. Additionally, a friend filled us in that they had stated how much money we were investing in our new house even though she did not solicit the information and they used photos of our home for promotion without obtaining consent to do so. Time also factored into our job - I gave two weeks advanced notice that we would be moving in and on the day of our move in the guys were still working on work that could have been previously completed, and as such, left us a really dusty space that was just barely 'finished' on time. Again, I attribute this to poor time management. I advised that there needs to be better communication with the client. Perhaps our most upsetting work was done in the master vanity in which the back was very sloppily cut and wood stripped to make room for pipes. The work is amateur at best for a rather expensive piece. Finally, they took the shelves that would fit into the vanity without asking, and we have a strong feeling they took 'extras' such as bathroom tile and a vanity light we decided not to use as well.

It started off great, they sounded like the team to go with for our bathroom remodel. The first day of demolition went great. We stayed at a local hotel to be out if the way but to be able to check in daily. The second day not much more progress but we thought OK just a slow day, then the third day they weren't showing up on time then would leave for hours. The fourth day the had dry wall dust so over our entire first floor, on our electronics, our appliances, our children's bedrooms and play toys. And again not much progress. We had to keep reminding them of things. Finally we threatened to get another company to finish the job and showed them the new companies estimate, they then kicked it into gear and got the job done a free days later. Our caulk on our bath tub isn't correct, the exhaust fan we wanted they couldn't install, we had issues with their craftsmanship, they installed my medicine cabinet so highi could barely see my face, the grout was not done right, the sink leaked, the floor was uneven and has paint and floor glue on it.... I could go on and on. The job is finally done and we would never contact this company again!

We initially hired The Home Doctor end of 2014 to install triple track storm windows in our home because they seemed to be a good fit with our project. Unfortunately, they were the absolute wrong fit for us - We paid nearly 2/3 of the total invoice at the time of contract execution, which we were fine with and were told that it would be several weeks until the windows were ready for install because they were custom sizes. We had no problem with this, but the weeks turned into months, and then it was excuse after excuse as to why they were not coming to install them. After nearly seven (7) months, we still had no storm windows, no installation of storm windows, and no answers from The Home Doctor - so, we had to take further action, hired an attorney to get our deposit back. We have rated them a one (1) star only because it would not allow us to give zero (9) stars and because they simply lied to us continuously and we had to hire a lawyer to get our deposit back after seven months of waiting for storm windows. Unacceptable.
