Two of my daughters, ages 14 and 12, have taken both piano and voice lessons from Christina Bronaugh. Both girls really enjoy Christina at a personal level. ........really important when trying to keep older children interested in lessons. My daughters also have learned so much in a short time. Christina is providing college-prep level piano instruction for my older daughter; very challenging and yet she is still smiling at the end of the lesson. Christina also has a wonderful way of teaching voice. ...she's the only person I would ever send younger children to because she understands how to safely encourage a developing voice. Christina brings years of experience together with kindness and compassion in her personal's a winning combination!

I've only had one piano lesson so far, but I can tell that Diane will be a fabulous teacher. Kind, smart, experienced, patient, fun, on-time, laid back. Yep! The real deal. Can't wait to learn the next Song in my John Thompson book! Jani Kregor

I took guitar lessons with Chris Mattingly from 2003-2005 and found the service to be outstanding. In 2003 I was 15 and had very little music education or experience with any instrument, but nonetheless Chris quickly set me on a course that would change my life. Chris had a clever way of making the lessons fun by quickly identifying the music I responded to and finding the right songs within that style that I could play even at a beginner level. Realizing I enjoyed blues and rock, Chris took me from Chuck Berry to Hendrix and Clapton within a few lessons. I remember being impressed at how he could put a CD of Hendrix or Clapton on, and transcribe it in real time. But the service didn't stop there, teaching rock and blues was only scratching the surface of what Chris had to offer. In under a year Chris had taught me to improvise my own melodies, learn advanced musical theory, read music, and begin playing jazz standards. I also want to mention that as a great teacher, Chris was also very personable, and had a great way of encouraging the students (I also took a group jazz class under his instruction). Chris was highly qualified, having both a bachelors and a masters in music, and as such, he was more than able to garner even my obsessive interest with the instrument. By the time I ended my time studying with Chris, he had helped prepare me for college auditions in classical guitar performance. I can only presume that Chris has continued to hone his excellence as an educator and player in the decade since I studied under him.

I have been singing professionally for over 30 years, however, the vocal lessons I experienced with Jessie Laine Powell enabled me to improve my ability to control & achieve an untapped power In my voice I never knew existed! I encourage any person to invest in themselves by securing a spot in Jessie's classes. You won't regret it!!

Amazing teacher! I've had several music teachers in the past skip over important things or teach me wrong. Mr. Brown always managed to explain things in a way I would understand. He made sure I understood before moving on; something many teachers fail to do. My rhythm has improved tremendously thanks to him. I went from only knowing chords and strum patterns to being able to figure out how to play most songs on my own. I would still be taking lessons from him if we were in the same area. He does especially well at making sure his students have a place to play music. He doesn't simply put on recitals which can be rather boring and tedious. His student concerts allow his students to learn what it's like to play in front of a real crowd with a live band. Even though I was a guitar student, he still taught me vocal techniques and coached me on any instrument I wanted to learn. He always took time out of his own day to help me if I had a problem. He is the defenition of going above and beyond!

I've been taking guitar lessons from Chris for two years, and I have learned so much from him in just a short amount of time. He has taught me a variety of music genres through both songs and scales. Chris is an exceptional guitarist and has an extensive knowledge of music! He excels at blending theory with practical techniques and methods. Chris helps me set weekly goals, and I always feel comfortable asking him questions. He is both encouraging and motivating. In addition, Chris has a very impressive music background--he recieved classical training in Spain, he plays in a few bands, and he has even recorded his own CD! If you're looking for a guitar teacher that will take you far, I highly recommend Chris Sullivan!

I give guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, piano, ukulele, and drum lessons. I can teach any style of music. I also have a great studio to play in.

Currently based as a vocal coach in a high school, I have an extensive experience with working with others to develop their vocal abilities and goals. Trained as a singer since I was a young child, I received vocal scholarships to two universities and sang at various prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, St. Patricks Cathedral, and the 2010 World Equestrian Games. I also toured Europe with an opera troupe, recording Aaron Copeland's the Tenderland. Now, I have turned my attention to fostering the development of new musicians. It is my goal to help each individual find his/her own true voice.

I can teach beginning acoustic guitar, beginning- to intermediate-level piano and keyboard, beginning to intermediate vocals/singing, and beginning- to intermediate-level music reading and music theory. Since I regularly travel from Morehead to Somerset, KY, I can travel to any town that is on this route -- on I-64 between Morehead and Winchester; on US 627 between Winchester and the I-75 exit; on I-75 between exit 95 (Boonesboro Rd. exit) and the Mt. Vernon exit 62 (Richmond, Berea); on US 461 between Mt. Vernon and Somerset, and the Somerset/Burnside/Nancy area, usually on or near weekends, such as Friday or Sunday evenings. I'm available in the Morehead area through the week during evenings and in the Somerset area during weekends.

I'm a successful musician for over 25 years. I've played from Florida to Alaska. I'd love to teach you everything from what an audience wants to hear in all settings and situations to how to read and work each crowd. I'll teach you how to play the guitar and sing in front of an audience, many "tricks of the trade", and different ways to connect with other's. l'll teach you to walk, dance, dress, joke and, the very much, much needed, way's to cover your mistakes. In other words, I teach you how to have complete stage presence, including PA system perfection and emergency entertainment while you fix things (like broken strings etc.). I've been playing the guitar since age ten and singing on stage since 4 years old (probably didn't sound very professional). I have had over 20 years of dance lessons including ballet, jazz, tap and modern, 7 years speech, drama and elocution lessons, voice lessons, guitar lessons, and studied music and dance in college.More than college, I learned most of this on stage. I'll teach you how to get there and stay as long as you like. It is a great way to put yourself through college. Party while you work! But you may be the only one sober, bad form to drink on stage...
