FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is negotiable. There are base prices for certain projects. But I realize every customer doesn't know all the information necessary to make a completely accurate estimate. Sometimes the job requires less work than anticipated. Sometimes more. It shouldn't cost $200 to install a door when the frame is already there. And on the same hand, you shouldn't expect someone to come to your house multiple times, 8 hours a day for $100.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically once contact is made I want to gain a complete understanding of the job scope and what the customer is wanting. This minimizes any miscommunication in the future. Once everything is communicated and understood and the work starts I try to keep in touch with them so they can stay updated as each step or task is completed. I always check back afterwards to ensure they are satisfied with the product/service, and the price.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Helped my grandfather do several things when I was younger. As I got older I realized I enjoyed this type of work and was relatively good and efficient at it.
