Introduction: I teach exclusively via Skype, Facetime, Google Hangout, and Zoom. I have been teaching guitar for over a decade, and I work with beginner, intermediate and advanced students, ages 6 and up. If you’re an adult and thinking about taking up guitar - it is never too late to start - once you start, you get to be a musician for the rest of your life! I am passionate about coaching technique that will let you play with ease, and without discomfort - it has to feel good, so that you can sound good! You can’t have one, without the other! My teaching hours are from 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM, CST. Positive self-talk and motivation will play a huge role in our student-teacher dynamic - I will encourage you to give yourself credit for what you get right - because it can be too easy to focus on the ‘negatives’ (secret: there are no negatives when playing music). I hold a B.M. in Instrumental Education, K-12, and have gigged professionally in virtually every progressional environment there is. I hold a teaching residency at Matt’s Music in Monroe, LA.
