- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All moves are priced with a flat rate for the first two hours. The hourly rate applies after the first two hours of work. We are always open to agreeing on a flat rate for an entire job as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I understand the process of relocating can be frustrating so I try and find a balance between ease, efficiency and affordability with each new customer. Thumbtack gives me a good idea of the scope of the job before even meeting a new customer. This helps tremendously with providing an accurate quote. Our interaction would then consist of verification of items, confirmation of date and time and an agreement on a price. Simple!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began working in the relocation business in 2004 doing residential moves up and down the east coast. I have experience safely moving specialty items such as pianos, safes and exercise equipment across state lines. One thing that still holds true is that each job is unique. Our crews are trained to use various types of equipment in order to handle any type of item safely and efficiently.
