Nicole is a lifesaver! I received a letter from the state regarding my 2011 taxes, and when I tried to resolve it myself the state made me cry. They were horrible! Finally, I found Nicole, after a Google search for tax preparers in my area led me to Thumbtack. Unlike her competitors, Nicole did not just provide me a blind quote to do my current year's tax returns. She emailed me a questionnaire, which I completed, and then she quoted me a price. I knew that if she was going to be that thorough about providing me a quote, then she would do a thorough job on my returns. In addition to my current returns, I also needed help with a 2011 state tax issue. While handling the state issue for me, Nicole found a federal one too, and she prepared both amended returns, as well as both of this current year's tax returns. My tax returns are complicated because they involve dividends and self employment income, so having to amend and prepare them is no easy task. Whenever I had a question I just emailed Nicole and she usually emailed me back within the hour, but always the same day, which is amazing during the tax season. Day or night she was always easily accessible both by email or by appointment. I didn't have to take personal time from my job to get my taxes done, which was a huge bonus! I have owned my restaurant for several years now. Being a Chef and owning a small business are completely different things.
