This professional, was not very professional at all.
Took me 2 months to find an engineer and I thought this guy was my saving grace.
Not only did I not receive the blue prints required from him the day he said Id receive them originally. But when I did, They were not signed by the actual engineer.
I wasn't informed of that until 72 hours later when I was sent the signed blue prints. (on a Saturday) As the "engineer was not in the office"
I just wish he had disclosed that originally when he released the Blue Prints to me. (I thought I was communicating with the engineer himself.)
I needed the blue prints for obtaining a permit through my city. (he knew this) And I submitted unsigned blue prints! Currently I don't know if the permit will be approved. Yes I have the signed ones now but the delay this may cause is even more of a headache as this project has already been on pause for 2 months and it is URGENT! In just that I found him unprofessional, but to further things. His cost was $1500.00. The deposit of $750 was paid prior to obtaining the blue prints on 10/17/2024. The final balance of $750 was due 11/16/2024. I have a multiple copies of the invoice saying this.
However as of today, my call log now has 8 missed calls from him and he texted me 10 times in a row. Blowing my phone up on the weekends and sending me screen shots of his text threads with others just blew me out the water with how unprofessional, pestering and ignorant he was. The invoice has been paid in full as of 10/31/24. But not without harassment by him.
He responded, and changed the original date of the invoice to make it past due. He did not originally verbally disclose that the balance was due upon completion. Or put it in his invoice. That is why I assumed the invoice due date (11/16/24) was his expectation. I'm obviously not an engineer, which is why I was looking for said professional and their services. But to put it simply, this man was not the professional I was looking for. I wanted to build a repour with and continue to use the engineer who got back to me as it took me 2 months to even find one. But I want no part of him any further.
He continued to message me through thumbtack as well. And on a daily basis would send the invoice to my email sometimes twice a day. He has terrible communication, prior, during and after doing a job for you.

I was pleased to provide the signed and sealed plans, and I make it clear to all clients, both verbally and in writing, that a 50% deposit is required to start, with the remaining balance due upon completion. I didn’t expect this type of feedback after the final payment, and I apologize if my services didn’t meet your expectations. To clarify, I’ve never harassed any client; I reached out by phone and text to follow up, but I received no response for over 72 hours. I won’t be posting our conversation publicly, as I prefer to keep our interactions professional and private. I wish you all the best with your retaining wall project.
