Mastering is the process of fine tuning finished mixes, so that they compare well with commercially released songs in terms of overall tonal balance, stereo width, and loudness. It is also the process of tweaking individual songs that are being released as an album, so that the finished product has continuity and polish.
Home Studio Tutoring

Dave has mastered hundreds of songs for me over the past several years and he is the BEST! No matter the genre, his masters sound big and detailed without being over-compressed. Mastered albums have a cohesiveness of sound and level even when recorded/mixed at different studios. He is professional, easy to work with and provides great customer service. Dave Locke is fantastic. He has been doing this for a long time, so he really knows his thing. Great teacher. Took audio production, recording, engineering and mixing with him and learned a lot of valuable things from him in basically a short period of time. Things that I'll be using for life. He is also the master of mastering music. His mastering work sounds amazing when he does his magic. Nothing but good to say about Dave. He's a great person as well. I've been fortunate to have worked with him and know him.
