Speranza & Son are the type of team that you can rely on to fix a problem that other contractors just can't figure how to solve. I had a problematic deck that needed to be replaced and build to code in a very small space, but Joe worked with me to get it done perfectly. His prices are very reasonable and his ability to point out to potential pitfalls and come out with ideas to solve them was very helpful. I would recommend Speranza & Son to anyone.
I asked Jeff to do a rebuild on a roofdeck door that had been damaged, as well as some additional rot that had happened around the door. His work was professional, high, quality, and lightning fast. I reached out to Jeff through Thumbtack on a Monday. He and his partner came the same day to assess the job and give an estimate. He completed the work by Wednesday (only because I wasn't around to have him do it on Tuesday). His work was fast, high quality, and as described. Total cost ($1,000) was more than I wanted to spend, but the quality is good.
Eduard with BBC just finished our bathroom and I felt like writing a review. A lot of times, people only write reviews for bad service or work that was poorly done, so I thought I'd take the time to recognize some excellent work. I was beyond impressed with BBC. After we had a lot of trouble with another contractor doing other work in our house, we knew we had to find someone different for our bathroom. We had at least 4 different contractors come over to check out the job and give us quotes. BBC actually came in at the best price. On top of that, he really worked with us to get it within our budget and exactly what we wanted it to look like. With 2 kids and limited funds, his flexibility was MUCH appreciated. Not one of the other contractors was willing to work with us in that way. I figured that since he was so great budget-wise and with such a great personality, he'd be difficult once the work got started. I was definitely wrong! He was beyond professional and stayed on top of every subcontractor to make sure they got their work done on schedule--unheard of in the industry! He will answer his cell phone any and every time we called. Eduardo actually finished our bathroom on schedule, he also finished within budget. I would definitely hire him again, and hopefully we have a chance to. I hope you have the same experience that we had....Thanks Eduardo our new bathroom looks great! James Sampaio
This January my pipes froze and my family room was damaged by water. The ceiling, floor and a section of wall had to be replaced and the whole room needed to be painted. Paschal has great workers that did the entire job. They were fast ,polite and cleaned up when they were done. No radios, no smoking. Whenever I had questions Paschal contacted me quickly by phone or text. He is fast, friendly, and fare. My family room looks so good, I am now considering doing the kitchen and I will be calling him again!
Thiego and his team removed our current cabinets, countertop and appliances. They assembled IKEA cabinets and installed them. They installed a new quartz counter and a subway tile backsplash. They put our new appliances in place, and painted. They did a great job. At the end of the job he had a house cleaner come and clean the house. This was our biggest job with contractors. It was very hard to be without a kitchen for 3 weeks, but it was worth the wait.
We hired Ray to renovate our unfinished basement into two bedrooms. We chose Ray because he offered to get us some needed ceiling height (of which other contractors wouldn’t even offer). Ray is meticulous in his approach to doing things right: From digging down our basement floor to get the height we wanted, to applying extra hydraulic cement and coats of foundation sealer to ensure our basement won’t leak, to leveling our staircase so we don’t feel like we’re falling when coming down the stairs. The renovation posed a lot of challenges which included budget/materials, broken dumpsters, and a deadline of finishing in time for a new baby. We made it through and are grateful. Our 2 daughters LOVE their new rooms and we couldn't be happier!
I used Thumbtack and got 5 responses to my request to have an interior chimney removed. Future of Construction was one of 3 who came to my home and made a bid. His bid was reasonable and his approach was friendly and responsive. He came exactly when he said he would for the bid and to start the project. He responded quickly to emailed questions. He worked alone on the chimney removal. He set up for the work carefully and thoughtfully. He was prepared to protect other items in the room and in the house from the dust generated. His patch work on the ceiling opening was well done. The chimney was removed down to the floor without damage to surrounding pipes. The cleanup was thorough. Adam did an outstanding job on my chimney removal project.
We had the usual startup glitches when MR Contractors did the plowing for the first time. Now that they are fixed, it's smooth sailing.
We have been using K&S Remodeling for over a year to do various construction and maintenance and have been extremely happy working with them. They did a major repair of ice damage from the winter of 2015, they built a large 3 bay shed, the rebuilt one of our original 1920 outbuildings and then they remodeled the kitchen and bath of our 1870's farm house. These projects all entailed some serious construction/reconstruction. We had to remove an exterior wall, shore up the supports in the basement, and install support beams where we opened up exterior walls. All the work was done diligently with an eye towards perfection at each step of the process. Not only would I recommend them to my friends, I fully intend to use them for more projects.
Superior contractor. They repaired/painted walls and ceilings that were damaged as a result of ice dams. High quality work - extremely professional - Sean is amazing. I am thrilled I found this contractor and plan on having other them work on other projects for me. I highly recommend Jack Home Products.
I had Steven inspect my roof and attic after a windstorm event. Steve very honestly told us the roof was in good shape and did not need any repair. He actually didn’t even charge for his visit and even wrote a report and shared pictures of his visit. I insisted myself to pay $200 for his labor and time. Great example of the type of contractor you all hope to hire. I will definitely call him for my next roofing/water damage job. Very nice guy.
Jim is an absolute professional. We are very pleased with the work performed. Our kitchen floor tiles were perfectly replaced without any damage or issues to the surrounding tiles. Jim also matched our existing tile grout exactly. He performed the work at a reasonable cost. Jim also kept the work area clean during and after the project. Thanks Jim and Thumbtack!
I hired Austin and his team to tear down my gararge which was done and completed yesterday. Austin was easier to work with, he gave me a fair price and kept in contact with me prior to the demo. On demo day he and his team showed up on time and completed the job in half a day. The team was very professional and took down the gararge careful not to cause any other damage. They also did a excellent job with the clean up. Would not hesitate to hire them again.
Byron and his crew were terrific! We had a very old garage with a lot of termite and carpenter ant damage. They were able to remove and rebuild all the problem areas, and they made the two small door openings into one large one. They got the job done quickly and professionally. I couldn't have asked for anything more. They were just fabulous.
Jose placed new tile and a toilet in my bathroom, replaced a damaged wall and baseboard, and contracted to have painting done once all was finished. The job took 4 days as Jose quoted and he was there everyday without fail. Jose was informative and went above and beyond to address my many concerns. There was an issue with the toilet leaking and Jose came back to return the damaged toilet and replaced it with a better model. He also painted an area of the bathroom in which the painter neglected to do and replaced new bathroom fixtures and blinds. He also followed up with Waste Management for me when they neglected to pick up the debris in front of my home. Overall, it was a good experience considering stories I've heard from other home owners and their issues with contractors/workers. I would definitely do business with JAM Tile and Remodeling again!
By Feruz Tairov 05/12/2017 Paulo Mendez is an excellent is General Contractor that strives to fully satisfy. M&P this was the only company that truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. They have a trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of craftsman. The end was everything and more than I was hoping for. While they were not the cheapest pricewise, the cost is worth it in the end. You made me very happy and proud of my new Coffee Shop. Thank you!
We had our two story contemporary exterior, completely painted, along with wood shingle and fascia board replacement work. We were extremely satisfied with Four Zero One from start to finish. Matt and Kelley were professional, friendly, and efficient. They took care of the extra wood damage found (as we suspected was there already) in a creative and cost effective manner. We love the way the house looks and have received many compliments from our neighbors. I would, without hesitation, recommend them to neighbors, friends and family.
With all the snow this winter, I had considerable amounts of snow on my roof, that was about to cause some major water damage to my house. Steve was able to respond quickly and get out to my house before the impending rain storm. He was quick, responsive, and very reasonable. I will certainly be contacting Steve & lighthouse construction for my future needs.
Chris has worked on my "flat" roof several times -- it is rolled rubber now (formerly asphalt which continuously failed) because of him and his Dad determining rubber to be the best solution to the continuous leaking I had my family had experienced since 1947 when the house was built. The roof he and his Dad installed (SW Debbs LLC) is protecting my 1947 "modern" house with a roof that looks flat but is efficiently pitched. The roof on this house always presented problems with its asphalt coating used over decades -- major leaks and interior damage had consistently occurred. Chris and his father installed rolled rubber to remedy the situation. They also discovered through close examination that some seepage was occurring via eroded concrete on a decorative parapet. They applied material that stopped this water seepage efficiently. What a relief to find someone who would not walk away from a challenge -- someone who stuck with the problem until it was solved satisfactorily! Rare! Most recently Chris and his Dad repaired a portion of the "flat" roof that had been installed (before I met them) by another contractor. They adjusted the slight pitch of that portion of the roof to channel the run-off efficiently, installed insulation which had not been done previously, and re-installed rolled rubber properly. Again, a long-standing problem was diagnosed and solved at a reasonable cost. Chris is efficient, on time, focused, friendly, and totally reliable. He gets the job done at a reasonable price. I am currently renovating a colonial house from the 1790s, and I intend to have the roof rebuilt and replaced by Chris' company. I know him to be honest, hard-working, dependable, and determined to solve problems and produce robust results. I offer my highest recommendation!
Reliable, capable, and trustworthy. If this is what you need in a contractor look no further. JWC helped us restore our antique 2 family after terrible water damage destroyed our 2 upper floors. We decided on a major overhaul and JWC guided us through the process with professionalism. Can't say enough about how happy and grateful we we're to be working with the JWC team.
I had a flood in a second floor kitchen of a two family home. The tenant lives on the 1st floor and suffered a ceiling collapse and water damage to the kitchen floor. Yikes!! Wait there's more! This could and should've been a not so challenging repair until my town building inspector showed up for lack of permits on the behalf of the demo company. Long story short my 100 + yr old home now had to be upgraded before being re-inspected. I hired John as my General Contractor and in addition to providing a great plumber and plasterers he himself is a carpentry magician and made magic out of bad and unforseen challenges like old knob and tubing and corrective framing and other issues. It was due to his vast wisdom and experience that I was able to get through this nightmare without spending a kings ransom and still retain quality and inspection satisfactory work. He's seen alot so he knew how to problem solve and work miracles.
