Introduction: I believe in creating moments of success for the students I work with. I use asset-based approaches in order to develop competency in subject matter and overall academically. Beginning with the capabilities the student already possesses gives them a chance to build on those skills and develop academic confidence in order to achieve success. Some of my favorite moments during tutorial have been when a student begins to achieve success that was formerly out of reach. They can become impressed with and proud of their own ability and this results in greater commitment and harder work from the student.
