- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a bundled price for a package of services which include: survey of existing space, CAD drawing (2 and 3-D) of both existing and proposed room, paint and labor (2 coats) and allowance for finishing details such as decor, lighting and drapery. Larger furniture purchases, fine art, installation of architectural details such as crown molding or any electrical and plumbing would be additional.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I originally started out pursuing a degree in Architecture and soon discovered that I wanted more of a hands-on approach to design. I wanted a more active role in the final product.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Communication is so very important. Be sure to hire somebody who is truly listening.
