Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Jess Pfilms stands out because it focuses on telling a visual story. I pride myself on my ability to capture the essence of a moment while interpreting it through a creative lens. I love what I do and I spend all of my free time working towards creating a better product. I love event videography because it's so exciting to be able to capture the important parts of someone's day. I love making split-second decisions about framing, composition, and all the adrenaline-pumping work it takes to make the high-quality videos my customers expect to see.

I had Jess edit a video that needed voice overs, background changes and voice editing. Jess was extremely professional, personable and creative on handling the project.

I am completely satisfied with Jess Pfilms. Jess was pleasant to deal with as I was planning my grandmother's 100th birthday party. She coordinated with the other vendors and was all setup before the party stated. She did not get in the way of the fun (as many videographer's do) but managed to capture it all in put it together in 2 very professional videos -- Highlights and Feature. I am very pleased with Jess Pfilms and highly recommend her if you want to capture memories for a lifetime.

Agreeing to a negotiated price does not mean no service. Jess agreed to be the official videographer of our wedding. Three weeks later, after we initially spoke and agreed to terms, the contract was proposed to me. She then disappeared and has not returned several phone calls or emails. I find that very unprofessional and irritating, especially when you're trying to plan a wedding.
Jess Pfilms's reply
I'm sorry for the bad experience, I think there was some confusion around the contract that lead to this misunderstanding.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have a standard day rate as well as a variety of packages for wedding edits.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After our first contact, I like to get to know more details about the project. From there, I'm able to map out a timeline for my clients as to what they can expect as I work on the project.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was a Communication Arts major with a concentration in filmmaking. Most of the classes I took in college were about filmmaking, screenwriting, and production. I've also expanded my skill set through several internships, including an editing an animation internship in Thailand and an internship at Walden Media, a production company and publisher. From there, I've developed my skill set through my freelance work.
