Jorge and Mayra and the entire crew did a truly excellent job taking down a horrible ceiling which had been patched miserably from water damage (burst pipes in the past, before I bought the house). They took out everything including all the old insulation and replaced it with new, then new drywall - taped to perfection. Next they patched places on the walls which were done poorly and painted everywhere - even the cement floor (this is a walk-in basement). You will not find a place where one color goes into another color area, the edges are so sharply done. I will add pictures later if I can. Do not be deterred by language -- Spanish/English. There is always someone on site with whom you can communicate. If you think the cost is just a little high, you are asking for less for the best outcome. Splendid work!!!
Steve has the knowledge and skills to complete any task in and around the home.My astonishment peaked as he simultaneously worked on three entranceways to my home and garage.( without a second of down time in my coming and going ).My wholehearted endorsement goes out to steve and his work ethics. He is my A to Z man as I hope he will be yours.
Dan installed a permanent lally column in my basement. He did the work quickly and expertly.
I do not even know where to start. If Bruce lived in a different time he would have been a Renaissance man. He possesses a masterful blend of artistry and intellect. The first project he did for us was to redo a simple laundry room. This entailed making templates and installing granite for a counter with a sink and a making a folding table/counter. He had to repair some sheet rock and repaint the room. The results were impressive. The second job he did was design and build a workbench for my art studio. His architectural renderings were impressive. He measured the length of my arms to insure I was able to reach the peg board behind the work bench. He thought to install a length of electrical outlets beneath the lip of the bench. The side drawers are easily opened and closed and the paper trays are large enough to hold my watercolor paper. He is extremely meticulous and his work shows this. He installed glass doors in the basement studio to allow more light to enter the area. When this wasn't sufficient, he cut through the concrete and installed a window (with molding and a sill). His masterpiece was the deck he built for us. With Bruce's skill and our artistic input he produced a showpiece deck. The three tiered deck allows for minimal visual obstruction of the woods below. He installed tiny lights on the stairs to make them safer in the evening. He thought of these. He made a portion of the deck curved to provide harmony with the landscaping. Again, his renderings were precise and impressive. He laid everything out carefully and was always thinking ahead. Our deck is magnificent. He handled all the paperwork for the permits as well. On a smaller scale Bruce hung paintings, our TV, glass doors leading to a bonus room, fixed all our leaky faucets and provided names when we needed a generator and a water softening system installed. Bruce is one of a kind in that he is masterful in so many areas and knows when to get a consult. He is prompt and ready to work hard. He put in very long hours, cleaned up and just did amazing work. I still look forward to having him finish an upstairs loft, a bathroom in our studio and build a space for a china hutch. I feel so fortunate that we found Bruce and would give him the highest of recommendations. He really is a Master of many things! He is also very easy to talk to and to work with.
We had an amazing experience with Tony! After having issues with the last two contractors I have hired, I was hesitant to once again try and hire a new project out to an unknown contractor...But luckily Tony restored my faith in honest professional hardworking contractors who take pride in their work and their finished products. I was offered/accepted a job out of state and I hired Tony to refinish my basement, bathroom, install new upstairs railings/spindles and at the last second also had him refinish our hardwood floors so we can put our house on the market and to say we are happy would be an understatement. Tony went above and beyond to accommodate us from day one and he understood or time constraints and the issues of moving out state pose. So much so l, that when a miscommunication (100% my fault) arose, Tony came to my house on a Sunday morning to make sure I was happy. Name a contractor that would work a full Sunday because of a customers own misinterpretation? Well Tony did when he didn't have to just to make things right in my eyes. Tony was also spot on in all of his estimates and didn't suddenly start adding a $4 nail here or a $7 bolt here but rather stayed right on track the whole time! I would, and already have, recommend Tony for any job you may have. My only regret is that we didn't find Tony sooner! PS- I think the only ones that were happier with Tony being in the house doing the work were the dogs!
Gus helped out when my basement flooded after a furnace malfunction. He arrived promptly to view the necessary work, gave a reasonable estimate and came the next day to do the job. This included removing items to the garage, disposing of damaged items, mopping up the remaining water and removing, drying and replacing carpet. The process took approximately 4-5 hours. I would definitely hire him for future projects and highly recommend him.
I had some windows replaced and work done on my basement. They arrived when they said they would. Their workmen were nice and clean. I was so excited to see how well they cleaned up after themselves. They were easy to speak with. All my wants and instructions were fallowed to the letter. The only thing that I could point out as a negative is that their office number is not listed in the estimate forms so it was much easier to contact Rickman Construction through email than the phone. That might be a problem for older customers. All in all it was a great working relationship, and I would recommend them.
I needed a cracked pipe replaced and a sink in my basement that was backing up unclogged. Andrew responded to my request right away and made arrangements to inspect and quote the job. Andrew was very polite and professional and quoted me a good price for the job at hand. I know this may not happen in every situation but Andrew moved some things around in his schedule to get a crew at my house the following afternoon which was much appreciated. The following day I received a call from Andrew informing me his team was on there way. Two employees from A&D Services showed up they were also very polite and professional. In a couple hours they were done. The cracked pipe that needed replacement came out great. The sink that needed to be unclogged in the basement seemed to be a challenge because the crew did not have with them a snake to open up the pipes. All in all I'm very satisfied with the turnout of the job. I already have Andrew quoting me for future jobs. I would recommend A&D Services to future customers for their professionalism, customer service, great pricing on jobs, quality of work, and the array of different services that they provide.
John came to my house and removed a plethora of "junk" out of the basement. He and his coworker worked countinuously for hours. They were prompt. Their work was neat. They were friendly and professional. Their price was very fair. I would highly recommend them. Thank you~Barb
For U Builders replaced 7 basement windows for us. The introduction/quote visit was excellent. Really nice folks! Follow up was good. Brandon stayed on top of our order and kept us informed. Install was great. Leon tailored the trim to the space so it wasn't a "one size fits all" install. Very much appreciate that - and they were done earlier in the day than we expected. This would be a 5 star review if the time between the initial appointment and the installation hadn't been over 6 weeks. We understand the windows come from PA, and there was the Thanksgiving holiday in there, but that's twice as long as unexpected/were told.
My basement was completely transformed. High quality work. Excellent communication, exceeded my expectations.
Marco and his team helped us to finish our basement. Even though it took little longer than expected, at the end we are happy with their service. Marco was very helpful, flexible and clearly explains every step in the process. His team already helped us on two other projects afterwards. We strongly recommend Bilmar Construction for your project.
Great workmanship and professionalism..JK March finished my basement , remodeled my kitchen and did my floors would highly recommend them!!! Would use them in the future. Eric
John Furmanek of Handy Daddy LLC installed a false ceiling in my 2000 sq.ft. basement which also included carpentry work and installation of recessed lights. He was competent and reliable and had a wide variety of tools and equipment which he handled deftly. He was courteous, communicative and quoted a competitive estimate. He was punctual and completed his work on schedule. I would unhesitatingly recommend him to others looking for a reliable and competent handyman.
Seth did a great job installing laminate wood in our finished basement. He was professional, efficient and extremely clean with his work. I recommend to all!
He painted everything my wife wanted, stairs, walls & ceilings. Sheet rocked the ceiling in the basement to a tee. The price was perfect and so was the work.
The Davis Brothers Company remodeled my basement. Upon my initial contact,I was impressed with their prompt response time. They also provided me with numerous ideas that enhanced the appearance and utility of my basement. The Davis Brothers Company was conscientious about details and following project specifications. Throughout the job, their commitment never wavered. The quality of work performed by The Davis Brothers surpassed my expectations. The Davis Brothers Company took all of the stress out of remodeling. .
Andy and Wanda have done several jobs for me over the last several years including new roof, ceiling repairs, new bathroom floor, repair of foundation cracks that were causing basement flooding, and a new waterproof basement floor. I love my pretty new roof and floors. My basement has not leaked since the repairs. Andy and Wanda were very professional and timely. They never left unfinished work to go to another job. They stayed until it was finished. And they cleaned everything up when they were finished. You can't go wrong with these guys. They know what they are doing and the price is right.
Frank did a beautiful job on our kitchen. It's a big room which included a bathroom and basement landing, and the limestone we chose was expensive and not something we were sure that everyone could work with. Additionally, our application in our 75 year old house was "complicated." After our first meeting with Frank we were sure that he had the expertise and knowledge to handle all the challenges. We were correct. He was meticulous, worked neatly, kept us informed and rolled with the changes with which our house surprised us. He does beautiful work, and is pleasant t have in your home.
Our basement Windows came out great. We ended up having to use a jack hammer so it was more work for them but they did perfect job at a very fair price and lower compare to what other companies wanted to charge us.
