We contracted BC Tree service to take down three trees, two very large ash trees and a large maple right on the corner of our house. We also had a few other trees that needed pruning, including a large pine that had entangled the power lines feeding the house. The cost was reasonable, and compared to some of the other quotes from the bigger guys, BC included a few extra services.
At no point in time when taking down the maple or pruning the pine did I feel any concern about my roof caving in or losing our electrical service - these guys are fast, efficient, and really know what they are doing. All limbs were taken down securely and there was no wild, uncontrolled swinging of the limbs. They worked the more difficult trees on ropes, not in a bucket, and I believe they did a tidier job of it than someone in a bucket might have.
I was most impressed by three things. The first is that Brian is an arborist, not just someone who cuts down trees. This means he accurately assessed the health of the trees on my property and gave sound advice as to where pruning was necessary rather than removal. The second is that Brian is quick to answer emails, calls, and texts and was true to his word in terms of schedule and timing. The third reason I would highly recommend BC Tree Service is the truly excellent job they did cleaning up after removing and pruning. I have two tidy piles of wood chips and a large stockpile of hardwood that had been cut down to manageable pieces. I do need to split the wood, but most of the work is done. Brian and his "climber" raked all of the branches, twigs, shavings, and other general debris so that my lawn is clean and there wasn't much left to do on our end. He also cut the stumps of the three large trees very low down to the ground.
I would highly recommend these guys.
