I have hired Doug Bowker to produce a number of 2D and 3D animations over the past decade. I am a video producer but occasionally I have requests that are beyond my skill set. That is when I pick up the phone and call Doug. No matter what challenges I present to him, he produces a stellar product. Be it a complex 3D rendering of an automated biological storage system to a realistic looking technology product, Doug consistently delivers high quality and professional work that my clients simply rave about. Not only does his final product look amazing but he explains and guides me through the animation process using clear language and keeps me up to date on his progress with realistic time tables. Doug thinks multiple steps ahead and always gives me options to make sure we stick to our budget and deadlines. I am confident when Doug presents me with a quote, it is fair and well thought out. When we work together on a project, I feel confident to present Doug as a member of my team. Doug is smart, easy to work with and always presents himself in a professional manner. When ever I work with Doug, I am always blown away with the quality of his work. There was one project we worked on together where his animation had to look like an extension of my video work. I was amazed how he enabled the two mediums to blend so smoothly together. Obviously Doug's work speaks for itself but I find communication to be just as important as the final product, if not more. There are a number of steps when it comes to putting together an animation project. One wrong move and time tables and budgets can get out of hand. Doug's clear communication style enables me to feel the entire process will run smoothly. Doug is my "go to" guy for 2D and 3D animation. I put my reputation on the line and recommend Doug Bowker for any animation project you need produced.
I've had the pleasure to work with Phil off and on for the past 8 years. I hired him initially to help develop animated videos for a Chinese e-learning company. Later, he helped to launch my video production studio and even designed the logo. In recent years, I've hired him on a project basis for work in 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, editing, and design. Phil approaches every project with a wealth of creative ideas. He is excellent at brainstorming concepts and pushing the envelop to deliver truly unique design experiences.
As creative director for Egg Design, I've been fortunate to have worked with Clay at Claymation Studios, on several projects over the past 3 years or so. From animation to 3-D renders he has always delivered exceptional quality on time and on budget. And, perhaps most importantly he is genuinely a nice guy - and a pleasure to work with.
Dmitriy is a hardworking, creative and outgoing individual. He always brought fresh ideas and great solutions to the table. I've enjoyed working with him at 1-Stop Design Shop and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting class A work.
I am a freelance artist, animator, illustrator, designer, and video editor. I am Boston based with Adobe Suite skill set amongst many other programs/media.
As a recent graduate of The New England Institute of Art and currently a Brookline Access Television volunteer, I specialize in freelance videography, animation, and graphic illustration/design (mostly appreciation art), and I will reach any limit to ensure the best finished product possible! Mu preferred art style includes anime/manga only (no cartoons, stick figures, or still life, please) The programs that I use are FCP/Motion, Sony Vegas, Photoshop CS4-CS6, some Flash, and Paint (8-bit fonts and sprites from memory; no plagiarism/theft intended) My exceptional skills in the aforementioned fields are beyond that of any normal videographer and illustrator, and I'm very fluent/literate in Japanese (with over 10 years of studying)! Also, I'm an avid visual storyteller, and if you've got one in mind, I'd definitely help in any way to make it flourish and flesh out like never before! Currently, I have absolutely no updates as of yet regarding videography commissions, but for illustration/design commission details, please refer to the upcoming link (to be provided). The most recent local-con Artists' Alley appearances are AnimeBoston (2010 and 2011)/Spring Anime Kaiju Experience 2010. Three of my best pieces are now up for exhibit at BATV for a limited time, so feel free to scope them out when you have the chance! I'm no Spielberg or Schulz, but I get the job done!
Hi, I'm Dan Duhaime, a motion graphics designer based here in Somerville, MA. I carry a range of skills and experiences from 3-D, video editing, design, and web to help create a motion graphic video to effectively promote your business.
I am a stop-motion animator who also loves to fabricate puppets as well. I've worked on my own short film at savannah college of art and design. I created my own puppets and built the set and a miniature for an establishing shot. I also did the majority of the animation and post production myself.
BarnBurnerArt stands by the quality and speed it takes to complete pieces. Now, this animation and illustration studio is only ran by one. My namer is Julia Francisco-Simoes and I specialize in Stop Motion Animation, running it through my house. I hope to have future relations with people that can bring Stop Motion to light, through the media in music videos, or gifs. I have already created two features- Having one of them aired to the School of Visual Art's Dusty Film Festival. My stop motion featured in the documentary, "PIPPA" won the Human Spirit Award at the festival. My other video, is a music video that will not be released until mid October. I do also illustrate, heavily traditional. I am trained in oils, watercolors and I do to use prismacolored pencils. With my paintings I love to incorporate stitching with embroidery floss to push beauty to another level. You can see them in the gallery on this site.
I am an animator, graphic artist, videographer, illustrator, and much, much more. I am based out of Contoocook, NH, but handle clients as far away as California, Texas, and Germany. Let's take that doodle you have on a paper napkin and make it into a polished piece that raises you above the rest.
I am a 3D modeler, texture artist and animator with a B.S. in media arts and animation from The New England Institute of Arts. I've graduated as a dean's lister and was awarded as cinematographer of the year. I am also a recipient of an AIME award for an animation promoting Project Q-Storm, which is a scientific endeavor to image the interior mechanisms of living cells. I can provide quality services in the field of 3D modeling (characters, environments and technical or medical), Zbrush sculpting, texturing, rigging, animation and 3DFX. I am skilled at flash animation and after effects compositing as well. As a student, I've also developed a technique for using Photoshop to animate in a practical production environment, giving my 2D animations a more traditional, hand drawn look and feel. The programs that I typically use are 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Crazy Bump, XNormal, Photoshop, Flash, After Effects and Premiere. I also use Unreal Development Kit and Unity regularly for game production needs. Since May 2011, I have been working for Argosy Publishing in the field of 3D medical animation and was part of the team that released the unity-based visible body iPad application.

I do 3D character animation, key frame/motion capture, and choreography. Animation and choreography are in my blood. While many animators take up a performance skill to improve their understanding of movement, I came to animation from a life-long background in dynamic live performance and choreography. Through animation, I realized that in performing and teaching in various forms and styles, I had been doing key frame animation with full-scale human beings. There are no differences between performance and the principles of animation*. My approach to animation appreciates both key frame and motion capture. - Key frame animation allows for wonderfully stylized animation beyond what any real-world technique could accomplish. - Motion capture allows for animal realism, multiple takes, and an accelerated production pipeline. At various points in any production, people need to understand an ideas in their own vernacular. I have been able to effectively communicate with clients across a wide range of industries and backgrounds to understand their needs by combining my animation, performance, and technical expertise. This understanding also lead to improvements in techniques, production processes, as well as hardware and software.
