Jire this guy if you have months to waste and want every excuse in the book on why he couldn't get to something. I think his average work day might be 2 hours? Maybe 3? Talks about how quality matters and if you ever want some picks I'll show you his quality. It's a joke. Who uses 2 different types of white you may ask? This guy. I can see dramatic transitions in color on the same door frame, let alone from room to room. He his a joke. I can't even count how many different people he hired during the time he worked on my house. Should have listened to a few of them and walked away. I was nice enough to pay him in advance for the work because I thought I had a good relationship with him. Wish I hadn't. He simply never owned up to the crap work he did. I even left him $80 to buy a can of aura paint to finish up while I went on vacation and I couldn't get to the store. He claims he did, and said the can was by the steps, which it was, however he wasn't smart enough to paint over the date it it was mixed, 6 months earlier. He is a hack and a thief. I don't even want to get into the job he did staining my steps. Let's just say I had to start over from scratch. STAY AWAY!!! I've documented my entire ordeal and will be filing a formal claim against him. Not expecting to get anything. Just want to make sure something is documented for future customers.

Pat touts himself as being on Angie's list with a perfect rating. The job took much longer than originally planned, partially due to the fact that all prep work should have been completed at the beginning of the project. There was also a lot of poor workmanship throughout the project. In addition to this, his hired help is questionable at best. Timing: My son's room was supposed to be prepped and ready for paint first. On the last day of work, there were still many areas in and outside of the room that still required patching and sanding. Workmanship: Two of the doors that Pat worked on no longer close properly. Rather than pulling the nails after removing the paneling in my house, Pat banged them down by bending them over. This left the heads exposed over the height of the finished wall surface. Needless to say, I had to dig them out and re-patch the walls. Lazy work! Also, part of the project that Pat was responisble for was removing wall paper in a high area over stairs in my kitchen. I stressed the importance of the wallpaper being completely removed and the walls being prepped properly prior to paint application to avoid future bubbling. There are large patches of wallpaper backing that still remain on the wall and he actually painted over them. When I confronted him about it, he tried to say it was silicone and said nothing else when I texted him a picture. He also used bathroom caulking in the wall corners, which were cracked. He failed to cut down the high spots in the cracks and did a crappy job with the caulking so it's all bumpy now. As far as his questionable help, Pat worked with someone who saw fit to help himself to my bananas and soda. How amazingly tacky! I got an apology from Pat himself, but if he was really concerned about his employee's theft, he would have done something more to regain my trust. In addition to this, they walked off the job with two of my putty knives. This may not be a big deal to you, but I am a single mom and can't afford to replace these kinds of things right now. They also helped themselves to another of my putty knives and used it to scrape the aforementioned wallpaper AFTER the paint was applied. Now, the knife is all crusted over with dried paint and rusted when it was mint prior to them touching it. The smaller knife is around $10, and the missing and damaged ones are about $16 each. Needless to say, I've asked him to return and fix my kitchen wall and I get the impression he plans to do no such thing. I've also asked for my tools to be returned or replaced and have gotten no clear response on that either. Don't hire this guy, nothing but headaches and poor workmanship!
