I took a restorative yoga and essential oils workshop with Natasha recently. The yoga class was exactly what I needed to open up in a general way. Natasha not only provided clear guidance on what to do during the session, she gave interesting perspectives to focus the mind on and suggestions to bring a prop heavy practice into the home. The essential oils segment of the workshop was very informative and hands on. I felt very engaged with Natasha as well as the other participants. Again, Natasha made it easy to incorporate the topics covered back home into our personal practice by providing handouts and simple suggestions. The value of the workshop far surpassed the cost and I absolutely would suggest working with Natasha in any capacity she offers.

I have always been a “healthy” person in my opinion but could not get myself to understand a diet or something to focus on other than working out as hard as I can or as many times a week i can. Natasha learned about my goals and directed me through minor changes that I stuck to and they worked. First was when i age, 2nd was what nutrients i was under eating and over eating, then it was my small additional self care. Since I started the program I feel overall lighter and happier. I've practiced with Tim at the Broga studio in Somerville and attended a retreat where he held guided meditations. His classes were consistently amazing. The right blend of functional fitness and traditional yoga. He watches his students and makes the proper adjustments when needed and helps tailor the class for his students. Jeanne is a talented and professional instructor. She takes the full hour individual in-home lesson at my beginner pace, and gently challenges me when she sees I am ready to go further. Cheryl is an excellent yoga mentor. She starts off the yoga session at the YMCA with a slow pace, then picks up the levels of difficulty and then finally finishes off with some relaxation. I like the background music which she plays during these yoga lessons. These are the same reasons why her yoga sessions are always interesting to attend. Cheryl is excellent at what she does. I have been attending her yoga class for a couple of years, and she always starts with a meditation. She knows how important it is to begin a class with breath work as opposed to jumping into the yoga practice right away in order to get your mind and body ready. I have been practicing yoga for almost 10 years and completed my 200-hour teacher training in the YogaWorks program (which is based on the precision of the Iyengar system and the flow of the Ashtanga method). I recently completed a workshop retreat dealing specifically with yoga for back care, with a special emphasis on scoliosis and other spinal issues. Yoga has also proven to be an invaluable addition to my other athletic pursuits, including several triathlons and half marathons.
