Full service audio production, mixing, mastering, and engineering. Compositions and production have been featured on radio and TV. Keys, vocals, percussion, programming. I love working with artists who are passionate about what they do, because that passion will always shine through to the song. I love the process of helping a song find a life! Conveniently located in Malden, MA. Rates start at $45/hr including engineering, production, and mixing. Or you can pay per project, depending on it's parameters. The Basement Studio is equipped with a full drum kit, bass amp and cab, guitars, and vintage and digital keys. We are a Pro Tools based studio with plenty of virtual instruments and plug ins to get the sound you're looking for. We're not a big studio, but we sound like one! I had a vague idea of the project I wanted to tackle, and Josh helped me realize it to a fantastic result. His studio is state-of-the-art and cozy, and it was a real pleasure to record there. Woking with Josh Gold in The Basement Studio was an awesome experience. I am not a trained singer or musician, but Josh sure made me sound like I was . Our session started with me telling Josh about an idea for a song I had in my head. I started singing Josh my song, he got behind the keyboards and worked his magic and my song came to life. At the end of the session, all I can say is WOW ! Josh Gold is the Man . And after reading some of the other reviews I would have to agree . Josh Gold is a great producer.

Josh is a real pro. He helped me get the music that was living in my head and bring it out to the world. He's got a keen ear and was super helpful in making everything flow, especially when I hit trouble spots and wasn't feeling great about how things were sounding. Josh recorded my band's debut EP and did a phenomenal job. We were working with a tight schedule: we aimed to record, mix, and master four songs over the course of three weeks. Josh not only met this aggressive deadline with time to spare, but he far exceeded our expectations on all other counts as well. Josh is a total pro; he's very easy to work with and his instincts are on point. He offered a bunch of suggestions for effects, transitions, and layers that we wouldn't have come up with on our own but fit the songs perfectly. His basement studio is a fun space that's fully equipped and produces the sound of a large studio. In the end, he made our three-piece garage rock band sound larger than life, while staying true to our vision. It was truly a pleasure to work with Josh and I couldn't be more thrilled with the end product!
