She was very good. She just had to cut my dogs nails & my dog gets kind of nervous. But everything went very well. I will recommend her to everyone.
I have a 1y/o yorkshire and maltese mixed dog with serious separation anxiety and some behavior issues. I was going through the dog trainers in my area and Jennifer caught my attention immediately- the review was almost 100% positive, saying how helpful and responsive she is. We scheduled a meeting and I ended up training & boarding my dog with her for about a month. The result was impressive: he's crate trained, he becomes quiet in the car, no more excessive barking... She even found out his favorite raw food and changed his diet...He used to have kibbles and wouldn't eat much every day.. Now he finishes every meal within 2 mins! He looks super healthy now!!! I'm definitely gonna board my dog with her again. Training and boarding are both amazing!!! SHE'S THE BEST!!
Peter was fantastic with my dog, Shilo! He's a very scared dog and it shows as aggression. I'll be honest, I was reaching the end of my rope and losing hope that Shilo would have a happy future, and I knew I had to find somebody to help who could educate me on how to help my little guy. Peter was patient and encouraged my family and I all to have patience and be ready to put in the work. We've been working with Shilo according to Peter's instructions and he's already doing much better. I'm able to get his attention away from barking at strangers/ squirrels/ guests and he's been doing better at going to the bathroom OUTSIDE, which was a problem that was driving my mom up a wall. Peter uses positivity training only and has a bunch of useful videos on his website. He's clearly somebody who's passionate about helping dogs and we're all very grateful for his help, especially Shilo, since he's clearly more confident and relaxed since we've starting this training regimen. 10/10 would recommend to anybody looking for anything from puppy training to serious problem training.
Theresa is doing great job on training my dog. She really loves dog. I can tell that she is fully engaged in training dogs. She treats dog as her little baby. I am very glad to have Theresa as my dog's trainer. She is patient and responsible. Both of I and my dog have learned a lot from her. Sprite learned to sit, down, and leave things. She becomes a polite puppy and starts to listen to my instruction. Although sometimes she is still a little bit hard to control, she had learned more that I have expected. I would like to keep touch with Theresa and let her teach Sprite more lessons. I am very appreciate for what Theresa have done.
Lisa is a highly gifted trainer! Her innate ability to instill calm behavior is unmatched by any trainer. Furthermore, her experience training horses gives her the ability to work with larger more unruly dogs. Where other trainers wanted to break the dog into submission or spoil them, Lisa walked a line that shows the dogs they are loved but are on the bottom of the totem pole. In addition, I was taught how to work with my dog in order to further his training. Her prices are more than fair and her results are amazing!
Amanda is doing a great job helping me with my dog Darla's training. Amanda comes to my house for the sessions which I really like. I hired her for 4 sessions and have had 3 sessions so far with the 4th session scheduled in a few weeks. I adopted Darla from the SPCA and she came with a lot of baggage and fears that I keep discovering as things occur. Her biggest fears were people, noises, & other animals. Her fear was so great that she showed aggression (not towards me but towards the person, noise, or animal) which was worrisome for me because I wanted her to have a good quality of life with me. I've seen such an improvement in Darla's behavior already and we,be only had 3 sessions so far. She's learned quite a few commands, she is far less fearful of people, handles her fears of noises much better, & we're still working on her reaction to other animals but it has improved greatly. Amanda has suggested & shown me different options to try when these situations arise and they're working do well. All in all I'm very pleased with Amanda & the training sessions. I love the post session training notes because they help me to remember everything we covered during the session. I would highly recommend Amanda at Good Dogs to anyone who is having issues with their furry family members. Amanda is very knowledgeable, approaches everything with a positive attitude, uses positive reinforcement, and is so good & kind to my dog. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience.
My experience with Sandy and the Pawsitive Experience was outstanding. The first thing I liked and appreciated was Sandys approach to assessing my situation. After getting acquainted with our dog and what I had hoped to accomplish with the dog training lessons, Sandy tailored a program to our needs and didnt try to heap unnecessary add-ons to my program. Once the lessons began, the thing that stood out was Sandys attention, not only to our dog, but also to my family (and children, in particular). Sandy took the time during each lesson to integrate my young children into the lessons so that they could get comfortable around our dog and understand that the dog was young and needed time to grow up just as they do. My best endorsement of Sandy is to say that because of her help, we absolutely love having a dog as part of our family and our dog loves being part of our family. If you want a friendly, knowledgeable and professional dog trainer, give Sandy a call.
Rebecca is a very knowledgable and patient dog trainer. We worked with her to train our puppy. He was quite receptive to her training approach and is a wonderful young dog now. She provides training tips and information to us very clearly, which greatly helped us along the way. Not only was Rebecca wonderful with our puppy, she was also very patient and flexible with US, the dog owners. The fact that Rebecca is able to work with both the pet AND the owners to work out a training regime that worked for US really helped with the training process. Although we haven't seen Rebecca in a little while, she continues to check in to see how we're doing. I really don't know what we would have done without her! :) We would (and do) highly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for help with their pets!
I adopted my 2 year old dog Kayla only 3 months ago and Mike, along with help from his 2 wonderful dogs, has helped us reach several milestones: teaching her to get in the car, introducing her to the dog park experience, learning to walk on the leash, and most importantly, building up my confidence so I can help Kayla build up hers. I highly recommend his services.
It's hard to know who to choose when hiring any professional. I have an 8 month old German Shepherd, and after doing much research trainers, I decided to go with ACT K9. I was so impressed from the very beginning! During the evaluation, I met John and Lindsey and 2 of John's dogs. I have never met more trained dogs in my life. John's interaction with them was amazing. A week later we started training my dog, Sasha. After one lesson, she was already learning to heel. We have only had 2 lessons so far, but Sasha is already listening so much better. John and Lindsey really know what they're doing. The training is as much for me as it is for my dog. I'm so happy I chose them!!!
Very knowledgeable and professional, only a few weeks in of training and I will only bring my dog ( future dogs) to All American K9. I love the attentiveness Stephen has/ pays to not only my dog but my wife and myself, he teaches you ways you wouldnt think of AND IT ACTUALLY WORKS. 3 weeks in and it's the best thing I could've done for my dog as well as myself
Fantastic experience!! I noticed a difference in my dogs behavior almost immediately. Very flexible and easy to work with. Thank you Jess for being so wonderful.
Ashley is a fantastic dog and people trainer! I have learned so much volunteering with Ashley at a local animal shelter. The dogs we work with at the shelter are a wide range of age, breed, and temperament. Ashley does a great job with all of the dogs at their individual level, whether it be with a solid start at the basics or working on problem behaviors such as impulse control, fearfulness, or pulling on the leash. While helping the dogs, she also educates other volunteers about various dog behaviors and what the dogs are communicating. She is very approachable and easy to talk with. Every session is as much about teaching the people as it is about teaching the dogs.
Michelle is absolutely terrific at what she does. My husband and I were in our late 50's when we got a puppy and thought we are crazy so we hired Michelle to work with us at our home. It was the best experience. My dog Bailee is the most well behaved dog. I can take her anywhere with me, to anyone's house and she is extremely well behaved. I feel that we owe all of this to Michelle. I would never give a second thought in recommending Michelle. She was a fantastic dog trainer and you can tell that she loves doing what she does.

She is extremely knowledgeable and provides a wealth of information and support for her clients. Lee has done pet sitting with my animals for nearly 27 years! Our animals have always loved her. She has cared for our dogs, bird, rabbit, and even the fish! She is trustworthy, knowledgeable & has years of experience. We can guarantee your dogs will love her and we always say she can 'talk to the animals'. :)
Excellent is an understatement. This is more than just obedience training. It is insight to the dog/human relationship, from the dogs point of view. I didn't think I could change the behavior of my 4 1/2 year old dog, but I was mistaken. I just needed to stop doing all the wrong things. Don't go elsewhere just to realize you should have made Progressive Canine Dog Training and Behavioral Services your first stop!
We couldn't be any more pleased with our training from Ken at Caliber K-9 and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for training for their dogs. We have a 4 year old Boxer mix named Wrigley who started nipping at our 8 and 11 year old children about the time that I got pregnant. With twins on the way, we needed a solution for our dog quickly. We interviewed multiple trainers including a few very highly rated trainers in Boston. We were told a variety of things about our dog including that the only option was the put him down. My husband and I were at a loss of what to do and didn't have a good feeling about what anyone was telling us. And then Ken came over for a free evaluation. He was the only trainer to focus on Wrigley just as much as us. This made a huge impression on us, along with Ken's approach and dedication. We decided to hire Ken on the spot without needing to discuss it privately. I'm writing this during our fifth week of training and our dog isn't even home for good yet. I hope this shows how much we would recommend Ken. Wrigley was a challenge for him due to the "squirrels in his head" and his lack of drive. We feel confident that we will be able to take over when Wrigley comes home and continue onto a better path with Wrigley in our home. Ken has boosted his confidence, addressed many handling issues, taught him obedience and taught us and our children how to continue the work at home. Wrigley came home for a night's stay this week and things were great during the trial run. The other trainers sold an idea of a guaranteed fix and then would send your dog home. This just wasn't realistic for our situation. Ken has offered to keep Wrigley for an extra week at no cost in order to have a smoother transition when coming home. We've also discussed additional ways that Ken can help us in the months to come including helping me take Wrigley to an anxiety-fueled vet appt., boarding Wrigley when our twins come and helping to introduce Wrigley to the new babies. Also, the one-on-one attention that your dog would get with Ken is far and above what anyone else is offering! I feel like Ken could double his price and still be worth it compared to the others we interviewed. We feel so incredibly fortunate that Ken was available when we needed his help. He's also a friend now for many years to come. You won't be disappointed in hiring him.
Heidi is an excellent trainer. She not only clearly demonstrates what to do but explains why you are doing it that way. In just a couple of sessions my dogs are doing things I thought were impossible and my dogs have had 8 years of bad habits to correct.
I’ve had an incredible experience at K9’s Training. I brought my dog here after adopting her because of her bite history. Joe, the head trainer was phenomenal. He knew his stuff! I decided on the board and train program because I was making her a service dog. She did a complete 180! She has become the most obedient dog and her temper has changed completly. More importantly, Joe trains YOU! He helps you understand your dog and how to become a better advocate for your dog and communicate with them better. I highly recommend K9’s.
Best dog behavior trainer you will fine, makes your puppy/and owners feel a new understanding of needs and expectations. If you have tried "trainers" please give Em4Dogs a try, you will be amazed with the results.
Absolutely unbelievable experience thus far. Friendly, timely, flexible availability and location. Great with our puppy and he is already substantially improved with only 2 sessions. You will not be disappointed with Sandra!
