Hi Mark, Ben and I would like to say thank you so much for being our wedding DJ! You were great and you have no idea how much we appreciate it. You knew exactly what to play to get people dancing and got the crowd's attention for us when we needed it. Thank you so much, you were outstanding and I will recommend you to anyone I know in the future who may be looking for a wedding DJ.
Adam did an outstanding job performing and providing us with a wonderful set list of music for our wedding. Not only is he a great musician but he is attentive on how to incorporate his music so as not to overpower his audience. Perfect compliment to our special day!
Jayme was fantastic, warm, creative and took excellent wedding pictures of Christina and Steven's Wedding Day. I would recommend Jayme highly in a heart beat.. Jayme listen to the whole family and took all the pictures that the we all wanted. Jayme had a lot of good suggestions that we borrowed from her and she has an amazing listening ear as to what we wanted. If I ever had another event I would hire Jayme to be the photograher. Thanks Jayme for all you did to make our memories special. Barbara L. Worthington
I have been taking advance piano lessons from Christie for about five years. I had completed a music education program before meeting Christie and then had a long break from music. Christie took my piano playing from a hobby to a profession. She had challenged and inspired me in many ways - from believing I could learn and perform advanced classical pieces to letting me perform with a professional jazz band. Christie motivated me to learn musical theory on a deeper level, prepare for rigorous Royal Conservatory examinations, explore voice lessons, and most importantly inspired me to teach music as well. It was Christie's belief in my abilities that helped me become an educator myself. I am now teaching piano to almost 30 students, and find that I often think of "how Christie would do this" when I teach. She is an inspiration.
I hired Joe from JCP Entertainment to play my wedding Cocktail hour. He was amazing! Joe played all types of music from Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Dave Matthews Band, and classic love songs. Everyone was raving about him. Even my uncle, who is also a musician, and picky, loved him! I can't wait to hire him for another event.
Brandy did a great job performing at my wedding. I received so many compliments from my guests about them. They heeded all of my requests ranging from song selection to sound volume and vocal style. Perhaps the biggest testament to their performance was the sight of my 4 year old nephew rocking out to the band's music, despite never having expressed any dance inclination previously. It was an astounding revelation, even to his parents.
They played our wedding this last weekend. Phenomenal! We received a ton of complements and they sounded fantastic. Highly recommend!
After stressing for months to find the best DJ for my wedding, I finally decided to hire Joe from Elite Entertainment. He was fantastic! He got all my guests up dancing, and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend Joe for any function.
We hired Jon to perform classical guitar for our wedding ceremony. We were late in the planning stages, and hadn't spent enough time thinking through the ceremony music. Jon made a number of suggestions, and we found several selections we liked. Knowing he was experienced with previous weddings, and confident, was reassuring, especially since some of the details were still being worked out at the last minute. In the end, his playing was fantastic, and the music perfectly suited our procession, setting a beautiful tone for an unforgettable evening. Jon is an excellent musician and a true professional, and I can't recommend him highly enough.
After taking piano lessons from a traditional piano teacher for 6 years, I needed a change. Steve was the perfect choice. He played at a local piano bar at the time, and I wanted to hone my skills so I could play in bands, too. I assumed he would teach me the ins and outs of chords and then send me off to conquer the music scene, but it turned out he had a real mastery of musical theory, and he held it to a very high importance. He began each of our lessons with music theory - all the basics that make a solid foundation for any musician. Then, he introduced a new concept to something I had been doing all along. He gave me sheet music to learn - tough teaching songs - then after a time, began blocking my view of my hands with paper while playing. Eventually, he'd block my hands and take away the music, teaching me a very important part of playing anything in front of people. You have to know the music inside and out. You can't rely on the sheets in front of you. That's the only way you can truly immerse yourself in the song and let your fingers do the playing. His fees were reasonable and the time was very well-spent. You have to do the work between lessons to get the most out of them. Steve has a true mastery of live performance on every level, and it would behoove any musician, young or old, beginner or skilled, to spend a year in his teaching. We can all benefit from it. I certainly did. I've been in various bands, ever since, and I haven't looked back except to remember who helped me get here.
I loved everything about having Loving Cup as the band for my wedding. Working with Colleen was such a pleasure. I am not a very organized person and she took care of everything. I felt like every little detail was completely taken care of. Details I would never even of thought of. I felt completely at ease with Colleen taking care of everything. My wedding even started super late and many guests don't even remember it not starting on time because the band handled everything so well and everything transitioned so smoothly. She really understood my husband and myself, what we liked, and our style. The music was perfect! We loved our wedding but the highlight for us and our guests was Loving Cup. A year later people still talk about the music at our wedding and that it was still the best wedding they have been to, primarily because of the music. I look forward to the day I have an event that warrants me hiring a band again. I would hire Loving Cup again and again. There is not a better band out there to hire for your event because they are extremely talented, sound amazingly great, are super organized, and completely care about making your experience what you have hoped it to be.
We worked with Louis's band for our restaurant's anniversary party. Everything went out great! The band is really professional and punctual. We had a great night! Will definitely work with them again for our future events.
These two are absolutely amazing!! Hired them for my wedding to entertain my guests during cocktail hour while the bridal party did photos. I could rest easy knowing my guests weren't sitting restlessly waiting for dinner. I got so much wonderful feedback from friends and family asking where they performed daily! Very classy couple who truly enjoys what they do-and brings that joy to your special day. Definitely don't hesitate to book!!! My only regret is that as the bride I didn't get to see the full performance!
Dave & Paul did an excellent job in all ways. Clearly both are very talented, with a wide range of music knowledge. They were very sensitive in getting in synch with the party vibe. Likable as well. A great experience & I’d recommend them very highly!
We absolutely loved Java Jive. We were so lucky to have them at our wedding! They were so flexible and learned a number of new songs for us. The customer service and care was as if we were their only customer. Throughout the planning process they were incredibly responsive and flexible (as our ideas about the wedding music changed). They walked us through the whole process identifying things we hadn't even thought of. They had played at our venue, the Popponesset Inn a number of times and knew just exactly what we needed for setup and for best sound quality. Java Jive is also so affordable in comparison to other wedding bands. By far the absolute best value and price that we could find, yet the quality of their music was outstanding. We totally love this band and have recommended them to everyone!

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the the Berklee College of Music in Boston and play all styles. During my time there I studied with a concert pianist. I offer personal service and will create a song list for you and send it to you via email. We can go over it as many times as you prefer via email or phone before the wedding and/or reception/cocktail hour. This has been very well-received by my clients because they like to know exactly what selections are going to be played and want it to fit the theme of the wedding day. I do not use sheet music - all the music is contained in an Apple i-pad using software known as ForScore. This makes a very nice, professional appearance on the piano and they guests always want to know more about it. I also have an 88-key Yamaha keyboard with 500 voices, a mixer and an amplifier if there is no piano at the venue. I can also send you audio and video samples. If your dress code is formal, I will wear a gown and I always wear concert black. This site does not support my audio files and I will be happy to send you several solo piano samples. A link to my Sound Cloud playlist is located at Business Links. In addition, please feel free to visit my piano teaching site at pianolessonsbyjanice to hear 20 minutes of my recorded classical music. Thank you so much!

Wed love to provide fun music for your wedding celebration! We have been fortunate enough to play live, acoustic music (bluegrass, swing, roots music, old time) at numerous weddings throughout New England since 2006. In regards to music for the big day, we have found that the following formula works well for most folks: * Half an hour of mellow acoustic seating music prior to ceremony Processional and postlude (MP3 samples are here on our website) * 45 minutes of acoustic music amongst your guests during the cocktail reception * Fun dancing music after dinner for the reception You can use our PA for toasts and announcements. We also encourage folks to make an iPod mix of music to play during dinner, and fun dancing after we perform. (You and your friends might also love Prince of Hip Hop, or have some special songs youd like to dance for another 30-45 minutes before the night ends!) Wed be happy to answer any questions you may have, and we provide a cost estimate. We typically book/quote events six to eight months in advance, so if you would like to secure your date, please get in touch!
