Deb Goldstein is like no other coach. For one thing, she makes you feel smarter than you think you are! Most coaches that I’ve known, let you discuss your challenges or problems and then they proceed to tell you what they think you should do to resolve them. Deb doesn’t tell you what to do. Instead she really listens to what you’re describing and then asks you relevant and pointed questions, questions that make you think. At the same time, she is guiding you through a process that ultimately leads YOU to decide the course of action that is best for you. When YOU make the decision, you are much more committed to the solution. I know this from personal experience.

Rose Siple was my spiritual guide through Thought Alchemy's 20 Week Co-Creating Pathing journey towards building my life and ultimate long term goal of a to that I would truly love to live, but also as one I loved living, here and now. My transformation including healing of my own inner turmoil but also inter-personal healing with others in both my personal and professional life. Only through understanding my own perspective as well as opening, acknowledging, and appreciating other's perspective's in any given situation with love and compassion I learned that communication was not only possible but necessary and essential. Reflecting back now, I can see the dramatic difference in my approach to new challenges and conflicts where I once approached with fear, insecurity, and anxiety are now met with confidence, self-assuredness and flexibility. Loving my life now, here, today is so much simpler and flows so much smoother with greater ease now that I no longer struggle against changes but accept gracefully with optimism. I can only add this choice, my choice to freely accept and embrace which was presented and offered by the Universe, God, Infinite presence or whatever whatever belief anyone has, was a welcomed one I'll forever be thankful for!

I have work with Sha many times as a customer and as a student. She is a wonderful teach, patient and knowledgeable beyond words. Sha's customer service skills are excellent. Very easy going making her friendly and engaging. Also helpful and gave suggestions that really helped me. Always felt welcomed as a customer which is why I have taken two of her classes. I know I will take more class and would highly recommend others to do the same.

I'm thin. I'm toned. I'm happier. I'm even taller. Yay! Life in Synergy has that wonderful workout that you always wished existed, but never considered it actually could. Well, trust me, it does. When it comes to exercise routines, what do we really want? We want a simple comprehensive routine that delivers results. A routine that doesn't require hours in the gym. A routine that is...fun? YES! That is Life in Synergy. The staff is wonderful – educated, down to earth, and upbeat. The studio is beautiful – peaceful, and welcoming. The workouts are incredible – I saw results after 2-3 classes. Helena, the owner, is amazing – incredibly knowledgeable, open, and always willing to answer questions. Before Life in Synergy, I'd been a member of pretty much every gym or fitness studio in Boston. None seemed to be a good fit for me. Aside from not seeing the results I wanted, I sometimes felt ignored, confused, intimidated, even inadequate. There's none of that at Life in Synergy. Come as you are, ask all your questions, and learn about your body. With each class, you’ll learn WHY you're doing what you’re doing, you’ll learn the names of the muscles you're working and their function. And more importantly, through Helena’s nutritional and other programs, you’ll learn how to live a balanced life. And then, you’ll be happy. Helena always says “work smart, not hard”. Make a smart decision and give Life in Synergy a try. You’ll be so thankful you did. I know I am.

I had interviewed two other fitness coaches before Gena and what I loved about Gena from the start was her willingness to listen and customize a plan based on my personal needs, circumstances and abilities. She coaches, encourages, checks in and keeps the experience positive providing the little extra push needed to stay focused on fitness goals that can easily be compromised with a busy to-do list.

Jen is an intelligent, compassionate coach who provides exactly the right amount of support you need to reach your goals. What I loved about Jen is that she is so empowering. I worked with her to get off sugar. She helped me see that even making small changes could have significant, long term effects. I would highly recommend Jen if you are looking for a seasoned compassionate coach who knows how to help you become your best self.

I was very impressed with Psychic Lauren Laurent! She seemed to know quite a bit about me, my hopes and my dreams. Her reading for me was amazing and accurate. Therefore I just wanted to take a moment to thank her especially since I feel that she knew me so well, at least for the brief moment when she read me. Thanks for her great insight because I really got a lot out of what she told me.

I met with Coach Noah a few months back as I was having problems keeping a sustained energy level throughout the day. Sure I could just drink a bunch of coffee but lets be real, that ain't to healthy! By the end of the day I hardly had the motivation to get myself to the gym which would led me to miss days. I know this is a big no no since going to the gym actually helps BOOST energy. Noah had suggested that I try synergy's product Pro Argi 9 which is a natural way to boost energy by increasing NO levels your body. In turn this leads to greater blood flow. After the first few days using this new supplement I could really notice the difference! I must say, kudos to you, coach!

It is my pleasure to share my thoughts about Tamika Fowler. We worked together at a financial consulting company where she served as our "HR Guru". She was an integral part of the operations team, and always brought a positive light to any project she worked on. Tamika displayed extraordinary professionalism, dedication, responsibility and commitment to her work, and had the unique ability to identify and solve problems. Even under pressure, and during stressful deadlines, Tamika was mature, respectable, and patient. She is highly motivated and organized, and has good written and verbal communication skills. She works well with others, both internal and external clients, and is very helpful. I am excited that her next goal is law school, and hope she is hired so that she can make that happen.

As a coach Jen is exceptional and incredibly talented. Her gentle, kind and genuine personality combined with a sincere and authentic passion for her profession makes her impact invaluable. Her razor-sharp questions are always delivered with a great combination of humor and hard challenges. She has a unique capability of always connecting moment to the right context and overall purpose of the coaching engagement. Jen provided the appropriate setting and guidance, which empowered me to be more authentically linked to my personal leadership vision. She guided me to reconnect with my core values and inspired me to deploy them in the right framework from a professional perspective. For that I’m forever thankful!

      About

Being a teen is tough, it always has been. Their bodies are growing faster than their brains. Some of their body parts are growing faster than others. There's pressure for grades, sports, sex, drinking or drugs, and all the things that goes along with growing up. It's always been hard. Now, it's all online. You don't do cyber bullying, sex, and drugs unless you're addicted, depressed, or anxious. Role models used to promote, "Just say no." and "Stranger danger". Now, they're Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber. Divorce rate is over 50%, and kids really don't know where to turn. I'm not saying that I have all the answers, but I believe in talking to our kids, and letting them know that they are worth more than a cheap picture or a quick high. Peer pressure and bullying are real, but when kids are taught, that it will end, that they do have a future outside that building they call school, and that they do have options and self-worth. Maybe, just maybe, drug rates, suicide rates, and mass shootings won't feel like their only options.

        About

Our purpose at 21 Switchbacks is to create remarkable lives. My writing asks and seeks to answer questions dealing with the following topics: Work and purpose. What does "success" really mean? How can we be more productive and fulfilled in our current work? Courage. Which risks are worth taking? How can we balance our desire to make the most of our youth with pragmatic and long-term concerns? What are we actually afraid of, anyway? Mindfulness. How can we train our minds to work for us, instead of the other way around? How can we cultivate more compassion and kindness? How can we be happier, without so many ups and downs? Life and habits. How can we get clarity about what really matters, and build each day around those priorities? How can we achieve the results we want for our relationships and health? If these are topics and questions you're thinking about, let's talk. Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

        What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

        Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
