I teach singers to find their own authentic voice and tone which allows each student to express themselves in their own unique way. Due to my background in psychology I am very good at helping singers to remove barriers to expressing themselves fully. This allows for a much stronger connection to the listener. I love helping people become empowered to help themselves. The techniques I teach allow students to become independent over time. In effect I teach students how to teach themselves to improve on their own. The method I employ is very effective and most students start to hear a difference within a few weeks of hard work.

Conor has done a fantastic job of taking a beginning singer with limited experience and identifying where improvement can be made. He gives his students tools that they can use to practice on their own and for the rest of their singing career to keep on improving. The environment for singing is very professional and made comfortable for a novice. Having cd recordings of the lesson is also a great touch that allows the student a chance to do their homework and continue growing beyond the scheduled session. Conor as a working musician knows the craft and has been a great choice in helping me achieve my musical goals.

Im giving Conor 5 stars because I cant give him 10. Anything and everything you could want in a teacher, period. Talented, intelligent, motivating, supportive, creative, patient, resourceful, understanding, relaxed, fun and funny. Hes like that favorite teacher that makes you want to do your best not just for yourself, but for him. His musical talent and knowledge are beyond reproach, he was born to work with people, and hes an all-around great guy. You will learn and do more with your voice than you thought possible. See? 10 stars!

Conor did an excellent job making me comfortable in the first voice lesson, despite being very self-conscious making noise. I like his approach and am looking forward to seeing how it develops my ability to sing.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$60 per hour. $550 for a 10 lesson package deal. The first lesson is half price at $30.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always ask my students to complete a comprehensive questionnaire on health and vocal experience as well as the direction they are interested in pursuing with their voice. During the 1st lesson I sit down and discuss this questionnaire with the student to understand exactly how to approach each individual singer.Then I will have you sing simple exercises to get to understand your voice. Finally we move into song work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I sang in a number of chorus's from age 8 - 22. From Church to performing in my College traveling 60 person Chorus. I studied music at UNH but eventually graduated with a BA in Psychology. I was a ski instructor from 1984-86 and have taught guitar privately since 1988. I also have studied voice privately.
