Do your research. Make sure the teacher has a track record and is a NATS member, at minimum. Don't waste money studying with inexperienced teachers.

Celia Slattery teaches voice technique for CCM styles (contemporary commercial music like pop, jazz, musical theater, rock, blues, etc). She is a NATS member (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and a certified teacher of Somatic Voicework (tm), a state-of-the-art technique that trains your voice for singing in much the same way that an athlete trains for peak performance.
Celia is a veteran performer and recording artist herself with broad experience in CCM styles and has a passion for teaching. Her students are professional stage, club and recording artists as well as the best shower singers around!
