Kim and Dave at Decorative Landscapes, Inc were absolutely great to work with. They took over a hardscape/landscape project that another local vendor was unable to finish, and within a few weeks time, left us extremely happy, with a great new patio. Kim and Dave first came out to meet with me, take measurements and give me their opinion on how best to repair/complete the other vendor’s work on a snowy January day. Other vendors would not have met with me until the spring. Kim took the time to review all of my options and different prices, etc. I was not an easy customer to work with, because I was concerned about trusting another vendor, since I had already been burned. Kim and Dave were so open, honest, patient and accommodating, I knew I would be able to trust them and scheduled the project as soon as possible. Kim kept me up-to-date on scheduling a start date and Decorative Landscape, Inc showed up on-time, and came back every day after that until the project was complete. Another great thing about Decorative Landscapes, Inc is that they only schedule one project at a time. So once they start, you know you have their undivided attention until they finish. Along the way, Dave and Kim kept me updated on their progress, took the time to explain what they were working on, how long it would take, what challenges they faced, what was next, etc. Every step of the way, they wanted to know I was happy with the progress. And I was. In the end, the project was completed on-time and within budget. They were able to turn my backyard into a beautiful oasis. The project included a large Unilock patio area, a few retaining walls, flower beds, flowers/plants, lighting, three sets of stairs, a walkway, etc. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and can’t wait to be out on the patio this spring. If you are looking for a vendor you can trust, who cares about you and their work product, look no further. Schedule some time to meet with Decorative Landscapes, Inc and get the job done right the first time. This is one vendor you’ll be happy you met. Special thanks to Kim, Dave and Scott!!!

We contacted Decorative Landscapes to get an estimate for our backyard project. We had just moved into our home and our yard had some drainage issues. The grass was soggy all around our deck area and had a strange slope by the garage and basement door. Kim came right out to give us a quote. She was so easy to talk to and listened carefully to understand exactly what we wanted to do with this area. She offered ideas of options for the problem area. No annoying high pressure sales pitch. Of course, we got other quotes, as most people do but I knew Decorative Landscapes was the company we wanted to work with and so glad we did. They were fantastic! They worked only on our project and we did not have to worry if they are going to “show up” (other than weather issues). They were there as promised until the job was done. The project was completed on time and within budget. It is nice to know we have found a contractor that we can feel confident using with any future landscaping projects! Our sincerest thanks to Kim, Dave and Scott, Joanne and Don Lakeville, MA

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When choosing a landscape designer make sure you get someone that is "listening" to you and taking into consideration your likes/dislikes, functionality of space, knowledge in plants to give you the right landscape that will stand the test of time and not be overgrown in a year or 2! When hiring a hardscape contractor, keep in mind the most important part of your job will be the part you will never see! The ground preparations are the most important part to any patio, walkway or wall installation. Also, hire am ICPI or NCMA certified installer to ensure you are getting a knowledgeabe contractor that understands the correct base prep procedures.
