Elsayed Was Awesome. He was very quick with his work and was able to complete everything I had asked for. He was very professional and polite at all times. I will definitely be hiring him for future work.
James was quick to respond to my initial request and was very thorough about the job. He first visited the condo where I needed the work done to make an initial assessment and then he came back a few days later to complete the work. He's very well rounded -- he fixed an electrical outlet, stretched some carpet, repaired a disposal, and helped diagnose a problem with a lock on a sliding glass door.
I asked Sam to help in building a lego/crafting desk in the basement for our family. He happily took on the project and did an outstanding job in not only building the desk but providing great feedback and changes to the design that helped create the beautiful and stable desk we have now. He also installed a new drop light and electrical outlet in the same room for us that came out great. I would highly recommend him for any project. He is honest and very trustworthy with his work and a great communicator.
Jeff is not only punctual and communicative, he is extremely talented. He quick diagnosed a complex electrical challenge, and troubleshooted some very challenging plumbing fixtures that were situated in hard to access repair locations. His work ethic is impressive and his attention to detail is what you'd expect from a true professional. Jeff's prices reflect his skill level, and would hire him again in a heartbeat. In fact, we diagnosed a couple of other items worth our attention that I hope to have him back for next week.
We had an electric dryer that needed to be installed. It wasn't your normal install as the vent was oval in shape and no one local seemed to carry the necessary part. Robert tried to locate the part locally with no luck. He didn't give up and leave us with out a working dryer though. He was able to connect the dryer so we could use it and is going to order the part online. We have a few other projects coming up and will definitely be using Robert's services again.
I hired Gabe to install 2 doors and change some electrical switches. Gabe was clear about what he was going to do, quick to respond to questions and updates, and got the job done as promised. I would use Gabe again for house projects.
Wally is the ultimate professional! He was unable to fix my outlet despite his best efforts and even tho’ he spent at least 45 mins did not charge me a cent. Said he charged for fixing things and since he couldn’t fix it he wasn’t going to charge me!! Will definitely use him for electrical work again. Highly recommended
Chris made quick work out of a hairball clogging a bathroom sink that I had failed to snake myself. Communicates well and punctual. He also does electrical and deck work...will probably try him in the future to see what he can really do :-)
RJ Development did a great job on our electrical needs in an attic that had very little power. Pricing was fair and the job was done same day when he came to quote it. He worked hard until the job was done into the night and completed everything he said he'd do. After happily wiring and hanging 2 large light fixtures and adding several electrical outlets, we were very pleased with his work and had him return form another larger project a few weeks later to include running another circuit for more power (from basement to attic!) and installing two floorboard heaters. He worked and did it all in a day and did a professional job that works great and is discreet in keeping with the rustic decor. Very fairly priced and worked quietly and consistently until the job was complete. We're happy with our project and would hire again. Definitely recommend.
Cliff did a great job installing my hardwood floor. Dependable, trustworthy, good workmanship and reasonable prices. Would hire him again. Nup. B
I gotta say...Curtis and his twin brother responded quickly -- they quoted fairly...and simply did the work promptly...the leaks...are gone - and it rained that very evening with harsh wind - mission accomplished! When they were done - they looked me in the eye and said - if there was ever a problem in the future - to call them back immediately and they'd respond - no questions asked and resolve it promptly. Charming, Professional, Decent - Salt-of-the-earth, Honest Hardworking and Motivated... What more can you ask for? Two leaks expertly repaired within hours. Better than average...Nope...Outstanding! I will absolutely use these guys again - Curtis and his twin brother Rob - aren't "nicky new kids"...they are solid in both knowledge and talent. Well done! Cheers to you and your company! Frank and his crew did some fence work for me, the price was fair, show up in time as promise, nice clean job from start to finish, very professional. if you need fencing or remodeling hire Frank you will be satisfied with the result. Joe.
I had twin pines come out to give me an estimate on removing 4 trees on my property. One was very close to electrical wires, but they assured me they could do it safely. Their quote was very reasonable so we went ahead and set a date for the work to be done. They were able to come out a week later. All my communications with Mo and his team was great. He always responded promptly and he was here in time and spent the day getting the work done. The yard now looks great, with more light being able to get through. The team was prompt, polite and great clean up. I would recommend them and use them again.
He was prompt and friendly. Offered to pick up the batteries that the bike needed on his way here. Took the time to explain how to use the knobs and switches. Cleaned up after himself. Very positive experience!
We posted a job on Thumbtack that we needed a job done on a certain day and Shawn quickly reached out to us and was able to accommodate our needs in very short notice. We needed our pellet stove and chimney cleaned and Mike came onsite to do the job. Mike was right on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. We've called a few other places before and they just weren't able to do the job. Mike was the right guy for this job. Came in with great confidence and took care of things right away. And also educated me on tips on how to properly maintain my pellet stove. Definitely glad we reached out to Twin Pines which lead us to Mike. We'll definitely be calling him back for chimney and pellet stove needs in the future. Thanks!
Ricky and his team did really excellent work fixing my boiler after a minor electrical fire in the relay fried multiple parts of the unit (the relay itself and the gas valve). Ricky kept open and fast communication, which I always appreciate, and brought not only an electrician but a plumber to the scene since he guessed we'd need both to really fix the unit. I appreciated the foresight and attention to detail. He even provided space heaters for my apartment on Sunday since the plumbing supply stores were closed and they couldn't get a new valve. Great team.
(Roofing Repair) Replace flashing and boot on electric service pipe. Ronnie showed up on time and got right to the job. He completed the job in a professional manner. I would recommend to others.
Johnny from JGC Carpentry, Did a Great Job on Framing and Installation. Of Basement Door and Door Panel for Electrical Panel Box. He was Extremely well to Work with on Having Work Done. At My Home, Very Professional and Curteous and Polite. And Great Value! Matter of Fact I'am having come back in the Spring. To Install Powder Room for the Basement.5 Stars! Mr. R. White
Responded right away and was very punctual. He did some electrical work for me and finished it very quickly. Quality of the work was very high. Will definitely hire again.
Rick Johnson of STL Remodeling & General Contracting has done several projects for my wife and I over the past few years. We are very happy with his work. He has built a new sundeck for us and has installed an elaborate French drains system to correct ground water and runoff problems which needed to be addressed. He has remodeled our kitchen and master bath with excellent results. He also acted as general contractor for the installation of an auxiliary electric power system for our house. Our first engagement with Rick involved the repair/replacement of significant portions of a very long and winding stockade fence that was badly damaged in the December, '08 ice storm that hit this area. He saved us a great deal of money through a combination of restoration and replacement instead of a wholesale replacement of the fence which had been recommended by other contractors. Rick has also replaced sections of the cedar siding on our house (a 4 bedroom garrison colonial in Westford, MA). In each instance, we have been more than satisfied with the quality of Rick's work, including his timeliness and they absence of material cost increases beyond his initial estimates. I think his prices are competitive. He is knowledgeable in a wide range of home repairs and construction. Most importantly, he is responsive and reliable. I wish my earlier involvement with general contractors were half as favorable. I consider myself fortunate to have hooked up with STL and have no reservations in recommending him.
Paul performed a myriad of small to medium repair jobs for me in the spring and summer. From tricky electrical work, repairing a bathroom ceiling beautifully and in a cost-effective way, getting my doorbell working again well and at minimum cost, to putting ACs in, and painting, Paul worked efficiently, carefully, and creatively. I found Paul to be an excellent communicator, a great problem solver, doing his work efficiently and creatively. He was open to suggestions, and did his work always being in great spirits. I know it's a cliche, but indeed no job was too big or too small for Paul. I've had handymen before, but Paul stands out for his skills, efficiency, creativity, communication, dependability, and great attitude. I've already begun making a list for fall projects for Paul: taking out and storing ACs, hanging new shades, and opening some large lateral file cabinets of which I lost the keys, and more to come. I also have recommended Paul to a friend in the area.
