    I have been learning how to fuel my body in a healthier manner. I have been getting great recipes and trying new foods. June is knowledgeable on a vegan, gluten free diet. I have started to lose weight and it feels great! Definitely recommend her!

    I came to June House for nutritional counseling because I struggled with making healthy food choices and desired to lose weight. I was eating food with lots of sugar and caffeine and felt sluggish and irritable. After working with June’s nutritional program, I noticed eating healthy could taste wonderful and my food cravings diminished and I had more energy. My favorite part of working with June was she understands how foods can heal and nourish the body. She shared many delicious recipes that made eating a pleasure. I have enjoyed trying many new foods that I would have never tasted before. I have kicked the diet soda habit, eat less processed foods and now eat more vegetables and a wider variety of foods. I have learned to give more thought to what I'm going to eat. I now can see how a balanced lifestyle/diet has a direct effect on my moods and energy level. I have also learned that any thing is possible and within my reach. Better health and quality of life. I have lost 11 pounds. I would recommend June to anyone looking for a healthy life.     I decided to meet with June House for nutritional counseling to learn how to decrease my fatigue, heartburn, muscle pain and sleep problems associated with CFS. June helped me stop mono eating and add food to my diet rich in vitamins, anti oxidants and minerals. To my surprise the diet change improved my sleep. This better sleep resulted in more energy and less muscle pain Included in June’s suggestions were vegetables with certain minerals, calcium and magnesium, I have lactose intolerance and was relying too heavily on calcium tablets, which bothered my stomach. Through June's focused questions and our discussions she helped me to see some food issues from growing up that related to my food choices. She also helped me to see I needed to slow down (chew my food, not gulp it) and nourish myself on many levels in my life. With this unique “lifestyle” perspective she helped me reduce and manage many symptoms. I feel more confidants in using the knowledge I’ve learned from working with June. My health continues to improve. What June brings to the plate is an understanding of many dietary systems, how food relates to a person’s whole life and her desire to help you learn to cook recipes that are delicious, nutrient rich and individualized to your needs. I offer flexible payment plans for my services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial consultation is designed to go over your health history. The client establishes goals that they would like to work on. The next step is to set up action steps that they can start to implement. I offer recommendation to help them with their health goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an RN and Health Coach with over 20 years of experience in alternative and traditional medicine. I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have study over 20 different diets and how foods can heal.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My story begins with having digestive issues, IBS, constipation, weight issues, low energy and I just did not feel well. About 20 years ago, I was introduced to healthy eating by a holistic chiropractor. He changed by life forever. I started eating healthy, exercising, mediating and listening to my body's needs. I wanted to help others to understand how food can really heal their body. This is why I started Healthy Living Now and Nutritional Counseling
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have work with client's with weight issues, digestive disorders (IBS, heart burn, constipation) high blood pressure, food intolerance, headache, stress, low energy level and cravings and binges.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My recent project was a lecture on How to Manifested Magic, Miracles and Abundance in Your Life. I have been taking classes for several years on how to manifest prosperity and abundance in my life. I am very excited to share this knowledge with my clients. I would ask the professional what inspired or lead them to do nutritional counseling / health coaching. What is your experience in working with my health concerns.
