Boston is a landlord's market and I have dealt with numerous landlords in the past who didn't respond to maintenance issues, and know many other Boston renters who experience the same thing. Over 2.5 years, I have used both YIF Management's property management and real estate agent services. As a tenant at Newton Park for 2 years, the property management services have been impressive. YIF always responded to my maintenance requests within 24 hours and they work hard to fix any issues within a week. They also do a good job maintaining the yard all summer and promptly plow the streets and parking lots all winter. When I purchased a condo at Newton Park this year, YIF/Chase Realty was my buyer's agent; they represented me well and looked out for my best interests. I was able to close within 3 months, and as a condo owner, I am happy to continue to use YIF services for all my maintenance issues.
I hired 4 points to remove 15 windows that were removed during a renovation . the two men that arrived right on time got to work immediately and cleared not just the windows but some other debris that was on my property . i had agreed on a set price and they filled up there dump truck in short order. great job guys thanks. The man is amazing- got me out of a tough spot with a dishonest renovation contractor, and was able to fill my vacancy with top notch renters when another realtor had let it sit vacant for months. He is hard working, available,responsive,and a total breath of fresh air in the real estate/ property management field. As I have told him- I wish you could be cloned and your clones fill all businesses. :) with the same work ethic and honesty.

Jay installed a chandelier for me above my stairs. Although it was a tight spot, he managed to get through the project. He was professional and patient, even after running into a few snags. He did both the basic electrical work and demo/finish work. He even saw a small issue with our gate as he was leaving and fixed it free of charge. I would use Jay again for handyman work around the house.
What a management company I lived in many units. However, no one managed like nexus property. Highly accessible help line and Internet forum allows great communication. Questions and answers are always given maintenance is very attentive alert a defintely expect a fast return call and visit. Apartment was in great condition post rental if there was any damage they took note for your benefit. The staff is definitely a shining point good genuine folks aboard here at nexus. Mr Greg rice has always been there for me lending me his personal line of contact and time at any given moment. He is as well attentive alert and very helpful with any obstacle I have or came across. I appreciate his effort secretary's and maintenence response times. Nexus property management is defintely a go to company that I can see arround for a while

GEBS just made it possible for me to substantially increase my rental income. The tenants in one of my apartments moved, after having lived there for many years. The place looked like a dump, and needed to be remodeled. Luckily, I had GEBS recommended to me by friends, and after meeting Geoff and being impressed by his knowledge and also by how friendly and understanding he is, I hired him to fix the place. GEBS did a wonderful job: fixing damaged walls and woodwork, replacing old ceiling lamps with LED, replacing old plumbing fixtures, fixing the hardwood floors, etc. When the work was done, the place looked absolutely amazing. Not only did I have no trouble finding new tenants, the way the renovated apartment looks now allowed me to increase the rent by $385/month! In about 10 months' time, this extra rent will have paid for the renovation work, and after that it'll be pure profit. As soon as tenants move out of any of my other rental units, I'm calling GEBS to fix those up too!

We hired Mount Vernon several months ago to be the property manager for a six-unit condominium in Dorchester. Our main point of contact has been Ken Olson. I am extremely pleased with Ken's work so far. He has done an excellent job communicating to our association members, assessing maintenance and capital renewal needs, preparing quotes, and managing our accounts. When I had accidentally overpaid my condo fees, he noticed and reached out to me pro-actively. He has helped our association navigate through a number of problems that were ignored or created by our previous management company. I just hope, for Ken and Mt. Vernon's sake, that our building will be easier to manage once we get through the time-consuming initial challenges that came with the transition from a bad management company to a really good one.
