FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple. The first lesson is $15 (half hour), subsequent lessons are $25 per 30 minute lesson or $40 per hour lesson, provided that you purchase a month's worth in advance (3 Lessons). Single lessons are available for $35 (half hour) or $50 (hour). You are required to purchase all required materials (drum sticks, staff paper, method book if recommended). If you would like me to travel to your home, a slight increase in price will occur to account for gas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am "in the trenches" so to speak. I am always taking a wide range of gigs, from weddings to rock shows to musicals to church services. I record myself and other musicians at my studio, and I am constantly learning about how to improve my skills in that arena.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get my degree in Music Education because it was very practical, and it has opened me up to a lot more opportunities than a Music Performance degree would have. The only difference was I had to work twice as hard to develop teaching skills as well as performance skills. Like I said, I love music and I love sharing it with others.
