I wish I could select all 5 options of what I liked about working with MCI Renovations. As is known with renovations, challenges can arise out of the blue. I’m more than pleased with how well those issues and challenges were managed while still providing timely, quality work.

Rashaad and his team painted my basement, living room and dining room. The entire process was seamless from him Coming out to look at my house for the consultation, to getting the materials and getting the job done quickly. His team was pleasant punctual and professional. I am so happy with the paint job. Will be booking again for other projects

I've had the pleasure of working with Rashaad and the MCI Renovation team on multiple occasions. They gave me a new concrete driveway, a new backyard gate, and most recently brand new floors in my kitchen/bathroom. They can really do it all! Monet House- beautiful fom a distance, total mess up close. The probject was a total basementremodel and upgrade. MCI's estimate was the highest of the 4 companies I met with, but I felt like Rashaad would be the easiest to work with. To save money, I repurposed kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as purchased the flooring, bathroom tile, shower tile, light fixtures and kitchen counters to make sure I got the items I wanted. I also did a lot of the basic demolition. Rashaad is very nice, the disconnect was the crew doing the work.
positive- finished on time; absolutely beautiful if you dont look too close; I was able to make design decisions. Rashaad did negotiate on the cost for add ons to the project.
negatives- none of the walls or edges are straight 1/4 to 1 inch difference; gaps in doorframes and molding; quality of finish and clean up extremely poor; if the wall is bumpbed chuncks of paint fall off; the electricity/lights surge in the other room when the coffee maker is used; had to have multiple corrections made during proceses. Rashaad was made aware of the electric surges, and the electrician never returned. I asked to make sure all the outlets were facing the same direction and flush to the wall (a major pet peeve for me), didnt get corrected.
Overall, I am glad the project was done, but will choose a different company for the next phase.

Our pricing reflects professional, licensed general contracting work — not handyman services. We have a $1,500 project minimum, and most projects range from $2,500–$30,000 depending on scope. We provide clear, detailed estimates and transparent communication so homeowners know exactly what they’re getting. There are no hidden fees, just fair, professional pricing that matches the quality of work and the scale of the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a short phone or message consultation where you send 3–6 photos and a brief description of the project. From there, we provide a price range (if possible depending on the scope and information provided) before scheduling a walkthrough.
During the walkthrough, we review the space, collaboratively confirm the scope, and deliver an electronic estimate with clear costs, and detailed itemized project phases.
Our goal is to make sure expectations are aligned before work begins so the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has hands-on experience as residential real estate investors and general contractors in Baltimore. We’ve completed numerous full-home renovations, drywall and ceiling replacements, basement projects, and bathroom remodels, giving us practical expertise in both remodeling and project management.
